God damn is it ever hot here in Florida... as evening falls it's nice to relax on the porch and enjoy a bowl of ice cream, and a cold beer.

My favorite ice cream, actually it's frozen yogurt... Roadrunner Raspberry, and it goes great with a Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic, or better yet a Sam Adams Summer Ale.

Vanilla with chocolate drizzle for Ice Cream.

Beer is a little more difficult to say. If I'm in a dessert mood anyways, I'd probably go for a single of Innis & Gunn.

My tastes in ice cream are rather pedestrian. I'm a sucker for French vanilla.

My favourite beer for this weather is a local microbrew: Black Oak's Pale Ale. Not a dessert beer.

See, we can agree on one thing;)... plain old french vanilla is great. You can do anything with it, pour syrup on it, walnuts, eat it with peach pie... ahhh, peach pie with a scoop of french vanilla.

Sierra Nevada is real pale ale. As for ice cream... I don't remember having bad ice cream. Do you?

I've been threatened with wasabi ice cream. But apart from that, no, I've never met an ice cream I didn't like ... a little too much.

For the record (because some people don't know and the name is misleading) a pale ale is a bottled bitter. Many are dark.

I am a sucker for this one, and a lot of other Belgian beers.
I am quite partial to any beer from the Coopers Brewery as well.

Wow, I think that concoction goes beyond ice cream and becomes a meal.

    Sure looks tasty.

And I live in the land of beer and chocolate. What can I say?

I haven't had beer yet, though I could.

And don't have belgian chocolate ice cream. Tempted by bf's though.

We mostly have Jupiler at home, though we sometimes have others, monastical (however you say it) beers.

Hm.. definitely a chocolate type of person, but love frozen yogurt!! Just not chocolate frozen yogurt, like it plain. As for beer, I love anything belgian such as blue moon.

Hell Yeah...I usually buy a box every year or two and let it age for a while before drinking it!!
A few years ago I found a couple of six-packs hidden in the pantry from the first(?) release of it (2000?)
They were brilliant, that little bit of age really made them hit the spot!!
I drank them before a work Christmas show and was half cut before it kicked off!!
Needless to say it was a wild night ;)

Any night on vintage is a good night. I'm lucky as I can quite easily drive to the brewery.
Notice I'm holding a sparkling ale in my avatar.

@BFD: Well ain't it a shame that I've nvr got a shot at Belgian brew? srsly I really blame the workings of my country's market on how they define the value of the term "niche market". Not the very first time this kind of thing has happened here in S'pore. Yay for the LKY vision! -.-'

@AA: We all know that av, dude. Aussies love beer and you've alrdy wore the national pride on your sleeve. (Loosely speaking ofc. :D)

Not too fond of either really, but chocolate would have to be my favourite icecream if I'm the mood for it. And you can keep your beers and give me a nice cheap bottle of sparkling yellow or rosette wine any day, as long as you're prepared to deal with the consequences. ;P
