Let me say, I have no real idea about the quality of swords and stuf. I only go for the looks, seeing as I don't fight with them. The thing is, I'm going the the Sterling Forest Renaissance Fair...e... Does the fair have good stuff? My parents said they'd buy me some stuff.

    Y thanks.

In general faires that only sell hand made things, ie not mass produced, will neither be as pretty nor as cheap as what you can find online. Faires that allow mass produced items will have mostly cheapo knockoffs.

So, buy online... like say at CBswords.com maybe ;)

Nothing like plugging yourself there, eh? ;) Personally, I tend to go for servicable....it all depends on what you want the blade for. (I'm just replying to this in case anyone else has a similar question...;) ) I use mine for full force fighting, so I want a blunted blade that can take those kinda knocks.... so I went for a Hanwei, Norman-style blade. Not 'pretty' as such, quite cheap, and has served me well.
