Never seen Firefly, I'm afraid. I'm a Farscape man. [Dodges hail of bullets]

Regarding music, I listen to everything from Black Metal like Emperor to folk-rock like the Waterboys to anything in between. If it's got a tune I can dig, I'll bop to it (oh dear, showing my age there - you youngsters probably don't even know what bopping is.):D

As for the tag, it's just something that's significant to me and one other person, who sadly died several years ago. I've kept it ever since as a kind of tribute to her. I'm actually an atheist, and have been since I was twelve. [Dodges more bullets.]

Admitting to holding these blasphemous views isn't what I'd call "covering your back"

I read the Thomas Covenant series when I was young and wasn't impressed. I re-read them a couple of years ago and my opinion changed to a more positive view. Perhaps if I keep re-reading them it may in time draw closer to Tolkien if I brainwash myself and become a drooling imbecile*.

    * Disclaimer: Not all Donaldson readers are imbeciles or drool, only in advanced cases of Donaldicitis are these symptoms evident :p

I frequently drool on my pillow. Some nights I'm in danger of drowning.:)

How? Where? Why? I don't have cable, and I seldom buy dvds. Is it worth shelling out for a series?

The last anime I saw was Akira. I haven't watched one since. Not because I'm not a fan, but like I said I don't buy many dvds. It has to be really special to catch my attention, and I'm afraid I don't keep up to date with what's going on in the world of movies or animation.

OMG! your post just sent it over the number - this is the longest one in history!

    well TFF history at least.

As for anime its something that I have only recently come to myself - though I can recomend a few and if you find the anime section we have (its somewhere round the site - even I get lost at times) there are other members who can point you in the right direction for some great anime. And I am sure anakin can direct you towards some good films -- don't worry - we will find ways to spend all your free money from now till then end of time :)

[To Overread] Hmm, I like to spend my money on women and alcohol, not dvds. It would have to be one hell of a movie to convince me otherwise!

[To Warlock Lord] As for Martin, I'm not saying he's a bad writer, he just didn't grip me enough to carry on reading. Maybe when I've read all the other books I want to I'll return to him.

[To Padme] I'm a rumour in my own lunchtime! Immortality at last!

[To self] Must learn how to do multiple quotes....

and the bonus is no hangover the next day from the films :)
