I went to see RotK again today, and right after the scene with frodo and sam encountering Shelob, I heard some guy behind me say: "The Giant spider scene in Harry Potter 2 was way cooler than this dumb scene!"

    HOW COULD ANYONE SAY THAT!?

How utterly annoying. I can't believe people are that rude. If ti was a younger person, shame on their parents for not teaching better manners, and if it was an adult, well, that person just needs to start reading Miss Manners or something. I would complain to the management or something.

Well, talking about manners, during the HP preview before RotK on opening day, halfway through it I yelled out "Hey, Harry's voice finally changed!"

    LOL, nice.

No, it was not a little kid, cause if it was a little kid, I would have had no problem with it, other than mild annoyance, but it was either an older highschool kid, or a young college age kid, about 18-19 years old I think.

When I went to see ROTK on the first friday after opening day (my second time)...........it seemed there was a plethora of tools in the theatre.

One particular instance comes to mind.

There was a guy, with 3 of his friends, probably mid teens,, about 4 seats over to my left, who's cell phone went off 5 friggin' times in the movie....they were also a little obnoxious to a couple of girls the next row down. So, I let it go the first 4 times, though others complained.........the fifth time some lady behind him said to "For Crissakes, stop with the phone!!".....he proceeded to lip off to her. So I leaned over and told him to "Shut that ***damn phone off before I force it up your *** and make your rectum play jingle bells".

Now i'm a pretty built guy, and my buddy was staring him down as well, so they decided to shut up for the rest of the movie. Being 6'4" helps sometimes as well.

*Arches eyebrow* What exactly is that remark supposed to mean?

While I have nothing against the Harry Potter movies. They're nowhere near as good as LOTR. Although I gotta admit, I was tempted to shout that, "Boy, Charlotte has let herself go" remark during the Shelob scene. But I controlled myself. :halo:

Legolas, it's a children's book about a spider who saves a pig from becoming bacon by writing messages in her web. Cute story, there's an animated movie about it.

Finrod, Awww.. I'm a very, very nice person. :balrog:
