Anyone else finished the trilogy yet? Was anyone else a little let down by the ending?
Yes! I was! I feel the character of Drizzt is growing stagnat.... he needs more development.
That was my feeling. While Salvatore still does a great job of depicting a fight scene, I think that his character developement is greatly lacking, and his storylines have become utterly predictable. Did anyone really believe that Bruenor would die? I didn't, nor did I believe Wulfgar truly dead when I read of his fall to the Handmaiden.
I know. It seems as if he's going to kill off a character, but then wusses out in fear of the public's reaction.
Personally I think a bit of tragedy adds to the story. Instead we get sharacters that appear for a few chapters then die off. *sigh* Reminds ya of the old star trek shows. lol
How many times can I read about how Drizzt almost finds out his friends are alive, but doesn't... ohh the irony...
LOL, so true. He even writes it kinda silly "If Drizzt would have appeared over the ridge a moment sooner he would have seen the tell tale silver arrow, streaking through the air."
I'm really getting tired of him questioning his existence. It's always like "Boohoo, if I wasn't here, or wasn't a drow, none of this would happen" Cry again baby Drizzit.
