What is your opinion on the Hunter's Blade Trilogy, as compared to the rest of the Forgotten Realms novels by R.A. Salvatore? I actually never even got through the second book in the trilogy. The three books seemed so much different in style and mood than any of the other books had, and seemed lacking somewhat in both content and plot... Let me know what you guys think about it.

They kind of reminded me of the Lord of the Rings (that is, even more than usual). The whole idea was that this impregnable army greater than anything Drizzt has ever faced has come to establish itself in the world at the extinction of another race. It is like Lord of the Rings because the same, seemingly hopeless struggle maitains itself throughout all three books. However, I must agree that they aren't as enjoyable as the forerunners.
