    The wife and I live in a small town across the back alley from her folks place.

    My father-in-law doesn't mention kids to my wife and I because he knows I'll say something that'll make him cringe.

    My mother-in-law and her mom made the mistake ONCE of asking when we're going to have kids. Just once. I think the reply;

    "We have a lot of fun practicing, can't you hear us?"

    I know the thoughts I was thinking when I was a horny teenager, so every guy my daughter brings home, I will assume he is thinking the same things. Im trying to turn her into a man hater, with little success.

    There's no such thing as 'too young'.
    It's all relative.
    heh

    When you have a boy you need to worry about what your son is doing.
    When you have a girl you need to worry about what everybody else's son is doing ;)

    lol

    well, when you think about it, most people worry more about their kid being raped then being a rapist, crudely put.

    Of course, chances are greater your kid will be raped then he(/she?) will turn out to be a rapist, simply because there's more serial rapists then there are people who're forced into sex by multiple people. But still. Both is a good way to completely toss your life away. Apart from being very adamant about not having kids, I don't quite know which of the two would be worse to happen to mine. Maybe even the latter, because it's sort of a dead giveaway you failed as a parent - on top of your kid completely doing away with his(/her) future...

    Maybe it doesn't occur to people that their kid could be the bad guy as much as it be the victim?

    Interesting...

    Yeah, I also truly hope that if I have a son, he will respect women and not just think with his (insert slang term here.) As much as I want my daughter to respect herself, I also hope my future possible son doesn't just view women as sexual objects to be conquered and discarded.
