Hmm...so I was watching 'Little Women' and thinking how much fun it would be to have a historical RPG. So what do yall think? I mean, the time period is still up for grabs ofc, but I would think that the Renaissance, French Revolution, or maybe during the Civil War. If it takes place in Europe, I'm thinking maybe the 'Pride and Prejudice' period, about the 1830's or something. 1900's mayhap, before WWI.

Maybe a new world that is much like this, only with magic. Or this world with, or without, magic. I just thought it might be cool... :) Any thoughts?

Well, the most obvious would be set in the Medieval era........ during the Arthurian times......... my friends and I are currently doing a DnD campaign set in the days of Alexander......... that's cool. There are literally hundreds of settings you could do however.....

I'd like the medieval era but I'd also like the Three Kingdoms era in China or the Warring states period of Japan

Yeah, the Warring States Period is what I was gonna recommend, or even Ancient Rome or Greece. Medievil setting seems the most obvious, so maybe we should try something a little different ?

Yeah, medieval kinda goes with lotr and all that as well. Ancient Rome or Greece would be really awesome...leave lotsa room for different plots or campaigns as well.

I've never done an RPG, but I think doing something in a Pride and Prejudice, or even a Civil War era would be really fun. So would the French Revolution. There's lots of material there. I'm willing to try dipping my toes in the RPG pool.

The water's great! :p You'll like it. I've found it helps to read over one of the already going RPG's. I personally recommend 5, ofc because I'm in it :p and because it's WoT and I think you're reading those now. :)

Always glad to see somebody else join the RPG's. If you ever want to join #5 LOS, just ask. We could write you in.

Great idea, Sorcha. :D I'm tempted to join, but not sure if I'm a little over committed already.

Thankees :D If ya change your mind... :D

And yes, LoS, we'd love to have ya :D It'd be really pretty easy to write ya in, just PM one of us or post in the OOC thread :) Lots of us are n00bies in that one, so no worries :)

Hmm...all right, we have some eras to work with :)

Now, do we play fast and loose with details, like creating a parallel world with almost the same situations and politics? Or are we thinking straight up history? The only problem I forsee with hardcore history would be inaccuracies. I know some history, but not alot about details.

I'd like it to be similar but not hard core, it's mor fun if we can alter the coarse of history

I agree, if it is part of a situation in which we have to stick strictly to details, there is really not alot of room for creativity in reference to actions and consequences.

I have the most access to British history throung the end of the Tudor period, although, I do have info on other times and places.
