Your first pet's name + the street you grew up on? er...

Making up names is the fun of writing isn't it? So make something up.

If you want to be sneaky think of a modern word for what you what the sword to represent, then find a latin dictionary and find the equivalent latin word, then tweak it a little.

    Or PippaGreentrees lol ^_^!

just close your eyes and press 5-10 letters on the keyboard, then twist them around so it sounds mystical and powerful!!!!!! Works a lot for me (but thats not saying much :|)

    tinyeightysecondstreet?
Go with the asian flavour. The sword was named for a deed it's owner was infamous for or.....
For Example in Shogun they name the main characters sword oil seller after a mouthy merchant gets chopped by it. At least I think he got the chop....... maybe they just ran him off with threats.
If you want something more macho go with the name of something beastly and add an action.

    ie grover slicer

The thing with cool names for swords is, it's gotta roll of the tongue nicely.

For example: Callandor from Wheel of Time sounds cool. It's easy to say, and seems unique without being blatently made up from random keyboard bashing lol

CB had a good idea. Although don't only stick to latin. Try other older languages e.g. Hebrew and Sanskrit sounds "cool" aswell.

you could use some elvish too, there are a lot of words in elvish that sound and have great significance for a sword's name,

kyrali szolga is pronounced KEERAAYI SOLGAH, it sounds quite nice, though.

    but still...
    NA'DUNAVU, perhaps? or NA'SAVI?

i would recommend that you think of a history for the sword first, and see if the background information helps, also think of names of cool swords in movies and such and what makes them cool? that will help to (or at least it should)
