I thought so....I don't really intend harm on anyone....

***Just to clarify, (if you read my post again) I wasn't threatening gun violence, I stated that "If you're this quick to threaten people in real life you're apt to get a bullet between the eyes. "

Not "If you're this quick to threaten me in real life I'll put a bullet between your eyes. "

Not a threat, but a warning/observation from someone who grew up just outside of Detroit.

Wow David S, those are some AWESOME improvements. Subtle changes, but massive overall effect via those small details. Truly a Mighty sword, very nice that you designed it yourself-- even with its implicit homage to Narsil and Glamdring.

PS, self-defense is always a justifiable stance in my book, and it seems that you have taken your fair share of attacks around here lately. And I for one wouldn't cry too many salt tears if I never had to see that goddamned Jack Black avatar ever again, that's for sure...

hahahhaha Thanks man for the support! Yeh I am always getting harassed around here, and them dogged out when i defend myself, Oh well, cowards will be cowards, and warriors will be warriors.........

as for the weight, it took a good quarter of a pound off of it, its alot lighter now has a good balance for cutting, yet still has excellant recovery for a fighting sword.
This thing weights about 1/3 the weight of UC's glamdring!! hehehehehe

You know, if you're constantly being harassed, there's probably a reason for it.

Cool upgrades David S, is that wood for the handle? Was it under the leather and now exposed or was the handle refitted?

And that's enough guys. Keep it civil. Skyanide was very clearly joking, in response to what seemed a light-hearted comment from David but all this subsequent rubbish isn't good enough.
If I see any more threats of physical violence I will delete posts. If you feel that someone has insulted you, give them some credit, PM them first to clarify, do not take things into the public forums. From what I've seen on the boards, 9 times out of 10 people are only joking and it's just an innocent misunderstanding, as with this example!

Yes is is a burl maple wood handle that is dyed.

It has alwasy been the same, never covered, but John had to recarve the handle during the refit, and thusly had to redye it and it came out a little lighter in color

No i was not aware of that rule. Seems ridiculous. Why have that option if you cant use it? disable it if you dont want us useing it for posts.
I visit a half a dozen forums a day guys, i dont have time to read all of your clubhouse rules. Most forums have a pretty much standard rules as things where, but I am not familiar with that one.

Dave seeing as there is a sticky thread that says Read before posting image in every W & A board I suggest you read it. It is futile for you to even argue this point. You did not take them to read the rules and you should have. End of discussion. You also seem to ignore my private messages in which I let you know what the rule was, etc.

Yeah David, what kind of steel was used in your blade? I've seen some of your cutting videos, how well does it hold an edge?

I love the look of burled woods, my bladesmith friend is looking for a nice piece of dark burl for a handle for a demascus version of Aragorn's Elven HUnting Dagger. It won't be an exact replica but will be inspired by it, but with enough minor modifications to personalise it.

The steel used is 5160. Its a carbon steel, but has chromium as well as several other trace elements in it that give the steel unique properties. Its is a very commonly used alloy steel. Gwailas is REALLY sharp, i wont say razor, but close. and it is extremely flexible
