    Hi!

I noticed quite a few other writers here who are working on manuscripts.

If you eventually want to submit your work for publication when you are finished, as you know there are do's and don't's when it comes to submissions.

I found the following book very helpful when I was preparing my manuscripts.

Just thought I'd share this gem with you:

Formatting & Submitting your Manuscript by Cynthia Laufenber

have you got anything published so far then?
im up to page 60 something on my first, i should really startwith something short but 60 pages barely scratches the surface on my story. sometimes i worry i may be in over my head, but once i get started i love every minute i spend writing it.

    Just a hint.

When you start looking for publishers, be sure to check their submission guidelines, they will be looking at your wordcount ... not so much your page count.

Publishers generally are looking for 50,000 - 110,000 words, with 70,000 - 80,000 really being the minimum.

For young adult they will go for shorter manuscripts.

    Happy writing!
