The link below is putting the final nail in the coffin of me getting the eff out of Texas.

    WTF Texas?

Can we say "infringing on rights"?
What happened to Separation of Church and State? This is more like making Church and State bed buddies.

And to quote a friend of mine " Let's face it, the Texas GOP isn't going to be happy until they have cowboys goose stepping their way down 6th street with fully automatic weapons and riot shields. "

can I shoot a missile to Texas and destroy it? I would even send warnings to all inhabitants with brains first and give them time to flee. Then I'd shoot the missile.
    May I?
    Please!

*wants to die because of the Texan stupidity*

(and if anyone gets offended by my choice of words- feel free to report me because I don't have any other word for it- well I do, but they'd not be so friendly)

I think I'm gonna move to Texas and marry a fine nice lady with lots of money and oil.And I'll be wearin'a cowboy hat and bear a gun or Winchester shotgun on my shoulders.

Shoot away, just make sure I'm out. Someone needs to blow this place back to the stone age, hell, it seems we're heading back there politically anyways.
What's next? Take back women's rights? Crap on the Emancipation Proclamation?

@Alch & Running: Can I burn it down first? I like fire...then again I also like things that go boom. (That's why I also like Mythbusters. For the episodes that they blow things up! ^.^) Then Running can make it go boom!

    @Foinikas: I think it's "Yeehaw" not "Yahoo".

Ok, Geographical Greetings Lessons 101. Texas "Yaaaaahoooo!", Boston "GOOOOOO-GLEEEEEE."

Back to the issue, GOP in Texas is now going on beyond ridiculous.

Well while I can't say I have the right to dictate or impose people what to do or not in their bed and sexual affairs,I am not negative at the whole thing.Maybe some fines or strict prohibition of such sexual same sex actions should be forbidden, but putting them in jail for that...hmm I don't think that's the best solution.

There shouldn't be fines or anything regarding same sex partners or what consenting adults do behind closed doors. The government has no right to meddle in the lives of people like that.

"In addition to this, the Texas GOP seeks to end the state's lottery, which provides millions in funding to public education; impose a jail sentence on any illegal immigrant in the state; shut down all day-labor centers; cut off all bilingual education after a student's fourth year in a U.S. public school; legalize corporal punishment in public schools; mandate that evolution and global warming be "taught as challengeable scientific theory"; and demand that Congress evict the United Nations from U.S. soil and end American membership in the global body."

I know this is vulgar, but at this point in time the Texas GOP needs to F--- off!

striking children in schools for discipline. While I'm in understanding of a parent smacking a bottom...in some cases, never leaving a mark that is, I'm not in favor of school authority figures doing so...

Yeah I'm against that too,but after I finished school the last 10 years in Greece kids have become really nasty so going back to that method could either work or fail miserably.

So the proposition is....have you seen the movie "The substitute" with Tom Berenger? :D

    THAT is a good solution.

Although I don't exactly like the Republicans(although that doesn't mean I like the Democrats more)I'm starting to think that some of these measures are becoming essential in a multi-cultural and fast changing society and Texas is actually smart for trying to keep their traditions and values.

I mean....at first I thought it was just a cowboy state full of rednecks but now I'm starting to think there are some serious people there.
