Probably. So long as the military doesn't say otherwise. Gonna visit for like a month right after the cherry blossom festival (because it is MAD packed before) and spend my time exploring everything north of Kyoto. Look forward to Kanazawa (my wife's "hometown") and Sapporo especially. There's also this nifty, backwater onsen that doesn't have electricity or anything that I wanna go to. I hear it's gotten a little touristy but eh.

Awesome! I always wanted to check out Japan. Read some of Haruki Murakami's short stories to get in the mood. OR watch anime if you are a weaboo freak

You're the second person to recommend him. Honestly, I'm most interested in cultural, historical, and food tourism. Onsen, temples, castles, and landscapes ☆w☆

My wife though is pretty insistent on going to catgirl cafe so yeah, weabtrash stuff is gonna happen too.

North Island looks like it has some great forests. Take some good pics and share them here!

The idea is to buy a nice camera and tripod before going. Hokkaido is famous for its lavender fields, so hopefully those are on display while I'm there.
