Tell me what to do around Anchorage
Dude you finally get to see that north-west coast nature you've been saying you're really in to.
Seize the opportunity. Hug a tree.
I know! Unfortunately, it's a work related trip so I'll have to stay in the local area but still! Maybe I'll see a bear.
In Anchorage now
Saw some moose and a bear with her two cubs.
Damn those are some pretty looking glaciers.
Do they still give you free land and/or money if you move up there?
Money, yes, but the last homestead given away was in 1988 (I looked that up, it didn't just come off the top of my head).
Back in California now, and trying to sort all my pictures and get some off some coworkers who had better phone cameras. I'll post them up here soon.
Came home to my wife and we killed a fresh bottle of tequila together. Hangover aside, I'm having a pretty great Easter. Alaska was amazing. Truly amazing. But I'm glad to be home.
Fight off a Chinese invasion in a simulation and find a suit of power armour. Looks amazing though, I always fancied going to Alaska.
Did you move there or vacation there?
One of these days I need to also go to Alaska, if only briefly.
Same here. It's 1 place I really would like to get to. I used to work with someone who spent a year at a national park there
That sounds like quite the experience as well.
I bet it was.
Work-related. Though I had plenty of time in the week that I was there to enjoy the area around Anchorage.
I have so many more pictures but at this point it seems a little late to post.
It's never too late. Apparently.
I assume you can see the Northern Lights up there. I would love to see them my selves, though only caught glimpses of it in Scotland.
I hear it’s been boiling there
