    What gods would you worship?

I would probally pick the Old Gods, because they are like forest gods, which seems cool enough. Plus weirwood trees are sweet

Old Gods, probably. I'm a Stark fan, but... dunno', like the Many-Faced God as well. :p

Yes, I would go with the Old Gods too. I have a thing for trees anyway, and I love the weirwood trees and the heart groves inside the older castles.

I think I'd worship the Seven. I've always really loved the idea of polytheism.

Lots of perks with the Summer Island gods, lol :). I think I'd be the agnostic standing in the centre although the Seven are interesting, they're kind of symmetrical (yes, I know it's pretty much impossible to make seven symmetrical, but they are!) and I like that. Plus, I like the way they represent all faces of society and all the things you could be.

I'd worship the Seven, if only for the Stranger. =P

I guess I'm always just sort of touched when Sansa would go to the Sept to pray. And remember the song (I highlight all the songs in the book, I just don't have in front of me right now) that they sang during the attack on King's Landing, "Mother something, font of mercy, save our sons from war we pray." Not sure if those are the right words, but the whole thing is really beautiful.

    Yeah, it was. :)

But still... old gods, anyone? I love the concept of the Seven as well, but...

Old Gods, I love the Weirwoods, I reckon that's where all the power is.

What about the R'hallor religon? It seems to be the only religion where the leaders can actually do something (not defending their actions) but that seems like the only god that does anything for his followers. AND they are the only religion that cares about what is happening beyond the wall.

At this point I would say: Old Gods deefinitely.

However you are right about R'hallor. Only I am not too enthusiastic about his followers.

I dunno, R'hallor seems cool. The again, the Other would be interesting . . .

Mmmm, the religion of the Red Priests... I don't particularly like it, if fact it is my least favorite of the bunch, but it truly is the only proven religion thus far it seems. If I could choose based on how cool I thought one was, then probably the Many Faced god. That whole thing really intrigues me!

True...Rh'llor's the only god that's demonstrated any power so far, and also probably the one I like least, the others are all pretty cool. The Many-Faced god is definitely intriguing, although he's basically the Stranger, the Kindly Man said as much IIRC.

Anyone who said the seven is retarted, they have the worst fanatics, the stupidest beleifs, and they beleive that your innocence can be prooved by winning a fight (or having someone else do it for you)

No, I think the followers of the R'hollor or the Drowned God are probably the most fanatical. Trial by combat is a fairly common device in fantasy (and in some history???) and what makes their beliefs any more stupid than the other Westeros religions?

Well, that's where we get into the philosophical bits and how the Stranger is only one aspect of the Many-Faced God. ;)

Don't particularly like R'hllor, for the record.

    Philosophy! :D

I'm not sure I agree...death comes in many guises after all. IMO, that's why it's the Many-Faced God, symbolising the many ways a person could die. And that does tie in with the Stranger, because there are many Strangers in the world, all wearing different faces, like the different means of death...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it ;).

Lol, what I meant is that the Kindly Man said that the Stranger is another side of the Many-Faced God. :p
