There is a new preview for the Special EE and it is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Wow, that is awesome. That's the first footage ive seen from the EE so far, and its amazing. What does the Witch-king say at the end of the trailer though ? Is it "This is my power ?" I can't hear it properly.
"this is my hour"
I thought it looked exciting as a whole. Everything looks like it will turn out good but it is hard to tell for sure because the editing for the trailer isn't really good in terms of what i am thinking the full version will be like. Um there is that one beautiful looking scene where eowyn is on some balcony and faramir comes up to talk to her. The view that we get of outside minas tirith looked so awesome. But anyway I also like the witch-king thing and aparantly he enguls himself and gandalf within a circle of fire so that will be interesting. Arogorn with the palantir looked cool. And oh man the way christopher lee says "You are all going to die" really sent shivers down my spine. Well I can't wait 'till the whole thing comes out and I hope that it is awesome.
Wow, I have to change my underwear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for this one!
My favorite quote from the books. "Old Fool, this is my hour. Do you not know DEATH when you see it? Die now and curse in vain"
Sweet, and that is a cool quote Kartaron. I also heard that he breaks Gandalf's staff, which never in a million years would happen in the book, isn't the breaking of a Wizard's staff the same as removing him from the Order ? Anyway, i didnt like how Saruman shot a fireball which seemed to engulf Gandalf, that never happened and it just looks cheesy.
Yes the breaking of the staff is the equivalent of removal! Intolerable!
And a ringwraith, even the Witchking, has nothing on Gandalf. The wizards are supposed to be on the same level as Sauron, 'coz they were all Maiars (please correct spelling, too lazy to check), right?
And I think this is the same footage that was shown at Comic-Con in July.
OK just checked and the video on the site doesn't show as much as the video that was shown at the Con
Its Maia, and Maiar (plural).
The Witch-king is pretty powerful though, I dont think he'd be on level with Gandalf, but as an extension of Sauron's will wouldn't they be atleast partially-Maia ? Especially thw Witch-king ?
Perhaps it was to enforce the fact that no man can kill the witch king. Even though Gandalf is not a mortal man he is I suppose still technically a man. I suppose we'll have to wait til December to see how bad a beating he takes from the witch king though. Any thoughts???
I still wish that they could have put something in there about the sword of the numenor but that's ok.
I just watched it again, and i gotta say i love how Aragorn says "Behold the sword of Elendil." It sounds so cool.
Yeah that is a nice touch, but of course Anduril plays that role throughout the books!
That was something I was dissapointed with, Anduril wasn't made out to be the big-thing its meant to be in the movies. I mean, come on, we know (even from just watching the movie) that Sauron fears this blade, why didn't they make it more important ? Bah, if only I had written this movie....lol.
Great Great Great...but arrgh, 14th December, that will be hard to wait.
On thing i feel disapointed...50 min, that's widely not enought. But Thanks Peter, thanks alot !!
of course, it's an advertising technique (get us excited, so we buy the DVD).
EA is doing the same thing for the battle for middle earth game, and over at http://www.kongisking.net, they have production videos of filming.
I must admit though, it's working.
I still wish we could see in the movie when Anduril was first used in battle that it shines with a bright light and striking fear into the orcs and the like, and the men proclaiming that Elendil's Sword is going into battle again, and giving them hope... alas, it was not to be.
I agree 100% Aragorn (kinda funny to type that ), Anduril was both played up, and at the same time downplayed in places as compared to the books. My biggest fear in seeing the new footage (which granted is far from all of it), is that we won't see the watchers of Minas Morgul, what a shame that would be!
