Ok, I'm not sure where to post this so I'll post here and again in the Guild area! I wanted my fellow ASoIaF addictes to be the first on the boards to know that I had my baby! :banana:

Arya Kawailani was born on February 11th and was 6lbs 10oz and 19 inches long. She is doing very well, despite a slight bit of jaundice. But other than that she is healthy! I'm sorry I didn't post sooner but 5 days after she was born my other daughter had her 4th birthday party. Needless to say we've been very busy!

Here is a pic of my little Arya taken yesterday at 8 days old and yep I won the name game spelling and all. Everyone else wanted Aria but I said nope I had this kid all natural (which sucked bad don't advise that for any woman) so I get to pick her name! Btw, she sleeps just like her dad, brother and big sister with her hands above her head...lol!

 

Congratualiotions!!! She is beautiful. So happy for you!!! Can´t wait to have kids myself. Lucky I don´t have to give birth to them though!

Dont let her play with needles. Is her big sister named Sansa?

Awww, she's adorable.... congrats, Ilae! Good to know that you won the argument over the name too .

 

She's beautiful Ilae! You have no idea how excited I was when I read that you named her Arya! That's amazing.

And I for one will encourage you to introduce her to her first needle! I demand updates w/pictures frequently. Congrats again, am so happy for you.

Now you just have to decide what age you're going to read ASoIaF with her. It's a bit mature for a toddler but maybe you could edit it.

@ Maester Joergensen & hendy...thank you and yes having kids is amazing but believe me if I could have let my hubby birth them I would have! Lol and MJ no Sansa in the family! Her big sister is more like a Dany, that one has fire in her eyes!

@ Lyanna & App...Thank you and I do adore her and think she is beautiful but then again I'm biased I'm her Mum! And no worries App I'll post more pics, in fact after this I'm heading to the Guild to post more! And yes, I am very happy that I got the name I wanted! Even though it was a hard decision, I thought I really wanted Arya but still wasn't sure, in fact I had a whole page worth of names that I took to the hospital with different variations of Arya at the top of my list. But for me I really like to see the baby before I name him/her to see if the name feels right. So, this may be silly but I literally sat there with my list of names and went through each one of them saying "nope she doesn't look like a this or doesn't look like a that" until I got back to the top of my list and the name just seemed to fit! Luckily with the other two children my listes were much shorter!

Very good choice MJ and yes I do have The Ice Dragon that I hope to read to my both my girls in the very near future! ASoIaF will have to wait a bit longer for me to read to them, just a bit!

ok. first things first. Ilaelin, you're little girl is just too cute for words! You're extremely blessed!!

secondly. I'm totally new to the ASOIAF threads, i can't wait to read through and hear all about ya'lls opinions and thoughts on the books. Everyone here always has really great opinions. I've really enjoyed the series so far, I can't remember exactly who it was who recomended them, it was someone on TFF, and I'm going to hunt that person down and thank them over and over!

and thirdly. I was just poking around on a website and i stumbled onto a picture of the cover of "A Dance With Dragons"


it looks really nice. and so i clicked on it. and it sent me to Amazon.com and it showed that picture, with a sale price and a release date for September 30th, 2008??????? can anyone else verify this? cause from what i keep hearing, GRRM hasn't even finished the book yet....

I would love it if the book came out that soon, but I doubt it will. The chances of GRRM actually getting it out for then are slim. But I still hope it will be ready for then!
