I've seen that. Did nothing for me.
People in the USA tend to venerate their presidents from years gone by, I wonder how many of them are aware of this from Jefferson Memorial?
Society's views are changing and evolving, and with that comes political and social change. But it's usually the older generations who populate government, and they are the slowest to change, so you literally have to wait for their opposition to die out before chance can occur.
A very eloquent 7 minutes from a new York Senator, before voting on the subject of gay marriage
A tiny step forward but this to me smacks of a public relations exercise and not real change, real change and acceptance would have allowed gay adult leaders. Not allowing that makes it clear they still think of gays as a "threat" to poor innocent children who are never ever molested by heterosexual males
It's just embarrassing for Aus now. Even New Zealand is beating us.
Frankly, I've long felt that New Zealand is way more progressive than us anyways, so it doesn't surprise me that they got there first.
Talking about New Zealand, I found it very inspiring lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=gl8oKO7BAuU
It's a great speech. I read some of it in the news but I hadn't watched the whole video yet. Thanks Anakin.
Of course homosexuals should have the same rights as heterosexuals.
What people do for love and pleasure is none of my business and those who are that interested in the sex- and love life of others, well... Well.
I wonder whether newcomers would even bother reading through the whole thread before re-posting a topic that's been covered a hundred times...
I'm not sure if this was aimed at me but if this is a thread asking for peoples opinions on a subject I wouldn't instantly think it was limited to a certain number of posts.
I think it's good that any newcomer would come here and add their opinions to this ever growing thread. Whether they read the rest of it or not is basically irrelevant.
It's only 200 pages! That's less than most short novels - I expect you to read it all! There will be a test at the end of the month!
Mate, your opinions are always welcome in this and other threads, so feel free to keep posting!
New stories are still being written about homosexual rights, this is still a very relevant topic, it has been getting more popular lately too. Hopefully it will force a tide of ultimatums that will shift favor for equality.
I confess I didn't read through the 200 pages of this thread before posting some time ago either... busted!
Yeah way to live in the dark ages huh. 19 years of service, I'm guessing with no complaints from parents or students or teachers, and then BAM, fired. What a crock.
yup, i wouldn't have thought it was legal
