    That's Warhammer 40k not Warhammer Fantasy. There are 2 different Warhammer worlds >_<

    It's a tabletop game just like Warhammer 40k, except ofc Fantasy so it has it's own setting and whatnot.

    Actually, the WH Fantasy world isn't really about novels. THe sufficient fluffage and stuff by itself. The stories are just a really great/awesome/epic level bonus for the fans.

    FR because the "Dark Elf Trilogy" and the "Icewind Dale Trilogy" are my 6 favourite books and include Drizzt, my favourite fictional character in anything. LotR was good, but FR is heavily influenced by LotR. It took all the good stuff from it and took the rest from Lovecraft and Conan, among others.

    I wouldn't say FR is heavily influenced by LotR. It has a lot of uniqueness and diversity to it compared to LotR to make itself different from LotR.
