I got my free copy of Final Fantasy XI Online today. The box is friggin' huge, due to it's contents. It's got the game, of course, in a standard DVD style case. It's also got the full-color instruction book, which is probably about as thick as a couple check-books stacked together. Both of these slip into a full color cardboard sleve. Then there's the packet of information regarding the HDD, and of course, the HDD itself, which is packaged in an anti-static bag, pre-programmed with the game data (no installation) and tucked in nicely with foam. The clincher? Since I've got FFXI on my PC, I'll likely never open the software. And I don't see any reason to open or use the HDD, since the only game that currently supports it is FFXI. Who knows? I may have this thing the rest of my life in factory sealed packaging. Hahahaha.
