Well I think ROTK is the best out of both, I think it is a perfect blend of the first two. Matter of fact I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it is my favorite movie of all time.
But most people seem to to take to TTT over Fellowship.

Yup that's true and it was one of the best battle scenes ever. But pound for pound I like Fellowship better. I think it had a very high sense of urgency about that just sucked you in. After a while of becoming familiar with the story that can easily be forgotten. But who can forget Gandalf racing to Minas Tirith to research the Ring, or the Ring Wraiths storming The Prancing Pony, the way they held there swords ready to impale their victims (dudes were pure Satan), or the emotion when Boromir was shot but kept fighting, and Aragorn beheading Lurtz. So much more too...
Also people seem to talk about TTT's "fast pacing" when in fact I think it was the slowest paced movie of them all! I still love both to death but Fellowship rocked!

I like RoTK the best but I like FoTR better than TTT. It's weird because a lot of people like TTT the best. It's my least favourite!

Its hard to compare FOTR and TTT. FOTR is pretty much a bunch of happy moments, with some sad ones. TTT is mostly intense moments, with comic relief thrown in. Its pretty much a matter of personal preferance.

this is how i go: FOTR EE, ROTK, and then TTT EE. I guess TTT my least because its the most fighting nd stuff (or ROTK not sure), but some say fighting is so good and kool in those kind of movies. But i think in those kind of movies u need to have less fighting because of the adventure like in FOTR. so thats just what i think

    Here are my thoughts:
I like FOTR better than TTT because of its beauty and emotion.
Yet I like TTT better than FOTR because of its darker plot and its action.

What i cant stand is people saying "thank god ROTK was awesome after the let down of Towers." I that soooo much! TTT was in know way a let down even if it was the least "faithful," as people call it, to the books. It was still an awesome movie and anyone who says it was a let down, just because it wasn't as close to the book as the first one, is a greedy and stupid person. Here's how to put it, I look at other adaptations from book to movie and then i look at LOTR and I see how close PJ has come to sticking to the facts of the book and no one can say otherwise.

By the way i like ROTK the best!

Personally, I think there are 2 versions of LOTR out there, the book versions, and the movie versions. As far as my favorite, I love the FOTR EE for its D&D type of feeling, with the party of different races, fighters, archer, ext... Now, as far as intense battle and other things of that sort, I love the TTT EE more than FOTR. As far as TTT being less "accurate" I just dont care, because like I said, there are basicly 2 versions of LOTR. j

You know a lot of people say TTT was close to the book. I don't see it, it was the farthest in my mind but thats not why I like FoTR better. TTT was my least favourite book so it was bound to be my least favourite movie

It's all one movie, anyway. It's all one book, too.
