To add to what Turambar just said,Hunters are the best farming class and it's the best solo PVE class ever.Remember the lone wolf thread?:p

Now as for rogues, this was explained in the "World of Roguecraft" series of videos in episode 1 where the warlock tells the rogue that 12 year-olds and geeks would choose Rogues and after the nerf the people who couldn't understand anything more than tapping two buttons started losing badly. And like he says "How else can a pvp video master lose to noobs?"

Now after 3 years of WOW the problem is not hunters or rogues. The problem is Warlocks and Shadow Priests. They are ridiculously overpowered and the only thing they need to do is tap one button which is a macro and there...you're filled with dots. The only thing they have to do after that is wait 5-6 seconds for you to die.If you don't die, they fear you,dot you again, throw a shadowbolt or two and there. You're dead.

I always liked playing as a 'rogue/thieve' classes because of the way they are based. They are the basic 'sneak up and slit your throat' type characters.

tbh, I remember that friend of mine saying the common term for Hunters is "huntard". Heard of this term anyone?

Yeah it's something other people created to mock hunters.I find such stuff stupid and I get really angry when somebody calls the Paladins something that usually contains the "din" suffix and an insulting or other word.I find that really annoying.

Evidently, you haven't been on the receiving end of a HS-bubble fight. It's lame and cowardly.

But most classes and some specs go by nicknames; and none are too friendly. I suppose it's part of the culture.

I have been in fights where Paladins used bubble and I still defeated them. But the HS-Bubble no I haven't been on the receiving end I must admit ALTHOUGH I have done it MANY times with my Paladin. And you know why?Because I don't want to give the joy of an Honorable Kill to an enemy who attacks me in a dishonorable way.Just like when a Horde "lured" me(I knew it could be a trap but still played along)to one of the floating pieces of land in Nagrand where we were supposed to fight 1 vs 1 and out of a sudden 3 more of his friends appear(they were flying high above the islet I guess. Then I used bubble,HS and bye-bye.No sir,I'm not going to give them the joy of an HK.

lol, well... I can imagine HS'ing out of a trap. I played Druid for a long time, and I actually used to run from quite some battles. At that time, winning was a 5-minute endeavour, whilst losing mostly 10 seconds or so. Sometimes, root and run was - by far - the better option, of course at the risk of running into another enemy (or simply being outplayed).

But I've had loads of pallies who charged me, discoved they bit off more then they could swallow and resolved to HS-Bubble. Now, that is lame and cowardly however you want to put it... That just pisses me off.

If there's a fair 1 vs 1 battle I will stay and fight to the end.But if I see that it's not fair or that there are more than 1 Hordes attacking me,the only thing I can do is bubble and HS.

Now that you mentioned being charged by many Paladins, when I was playing with my hunter a few weeks ago while questing to level up in the Blade's Edge Mountains,I saw a paladin coming my way,we were both mounted,he turns and follows me...and he keeps following me...I knew he wanted trouble. He was 1-2 levels higher than I was.So he dismounts and attacks me...I dismounted...kicked his ass easily, mounted and left. Now didn't he get what he deserved?

If it's a fair chance of getting away over a 1% chance of winning.... I'll be out of there :p

There's a lot of itemization in place, mind...

Of course...there's always the matter of gear. And then there's the matter of skill.

But tell me have you seen the third episode of World of Roguecraft?

If I'm not wrong, the hunter can use guns in WoW. Correct me if I'm wrong...

ow, I am not at all against breaking the archetyping in fantasy/roleplaying. I care more about balancing and exciting and unexpected gameplay.

tbh, it's possible to have guns in fantasy. Main problem with it tho is that there will be a hell of a long time in reloading at one point or another. Technology after all, isn't that advanced not to mention with appropriate reflexes, you can actually dodge a bullet. Well, from what I've seen in tv anyway, so that statement's maybe false lawl! :D

well a gun might work like this

Pros: shoots further than a bow and is more powerful

Cons: takes forecer to load and might not be as accurate

Well, what you've said is pretty much of a summary for guns in fantasy. Not too sure on the accuracy issue tho. :S It really depends on the setting.
