who is your favorite sinder elf?
I like Celeborn. Even though the Sindar did not like the Noldor he still married one. I know that they were more lenient towards Finarfin's line but she was still a Noldor.
I voted Thingol. He's an interesting character. One in which sometimes you like his actions, and at other times you hate him. Sort of like my attitude towards Saruman.
And come'on, his wife is a Maia. Try telling me thats not cool.
I won't, because I agree. I always thought he was interesting and wanted more info about him.
I voted Thingol, but Celeborn ran a close second.
I didn't really like Thingol. He was great because of his wife. Imagine if he had never met her. Than the Sindar probably would not have even existed.
So I give all credit to her
My favourite Sindarin elf is probably Oropher( although I'm sure I wouldn't like him if I met him) because he was hard headed, strong-willed, proud and very brave
They all suck of elfness
Thranduil was amazing in the great battle!
I don't remember who Thranduil and Owle were so I didn't vote.
Thranduil is Legolas father and Olwe is thingols brother who takes command of the sinder after he leaves (Thranduil is the elf king from the hobbit)
I voted Celeborn, because he's a wise king. And he isn't even fully Sindar
Not to pick . . . Celeborn never assumed the title of king. Anyway, I voted Thingol.
Celeborn not fully Sindar????????????????????????
do you mean the theory of him being telerin?
maybe he was telerian but i dont think so because he lived in middle earth didint he and if he was a teleri then he probably would have lived on tol eressea
I am sure he was telerian since all sindar were, but there are two versions of celeborns origins. the most well known is him being from Doriath, a relative of thingol. the second, as tolkien wrote about in unfinished tales, has Celeborn as one of the high Teleri of alquondie, in that version Galadriel didn't cross helcaraxe but sailed with celeborn to middle-earth
well in the sil he is called celeborn of doriath
yes I know, there are different versions of the story.
I like them all
