I love the Redwall series, they are some pretty awesome books, and I wanted to know what everybody's favorite one was. Mine is either Outcast of Redwall, Salamandastron, or Taggerung. I did enjoy Pearls of Lutra also.

I like all of them. Im reading Outcast of RedWall right now. That may be my least fav actually. I don't like it that the mouse in it is so stupid while she is raising the vermin...whats his name..Vale? I don't remember...

Yeah, I think you are right in the name, too lazy to actually bust out the book and look though. She is so stupid, I agree. HEY STOOP!!! HE IS VERMIN!!! And she just never accepts that fact. Well, Sunflash is awesome though.

Outcast was one of my faves as well. (oh, and it's Veil)

I also loved Redwall, Taggerung, and Lord Brocktree. Salamandestron was also very good as well.

Thank you Gûd, I will be able to sleep now that I know the name and the correct spelling of it. I didn't like Lord Brocktree. Supposedly the army was big enough to shake the ground and stuff, but they only kill about a hundred of them and then all of the rats are beaten...

Yeah... I think Marlfox was really good too. I liked when Cregga shot that one fox through the head with a longbow and the arrow flew really far afterwards. That was way cool.

I'm afraid I'm at a loss. I know nothing of these books. Can someone briefly describe the setting for me? I am always on the prowl for a good fantasy novel.

Redwall is a book series (there are about 15 out so far) written by British author Brian Jacques. It's set in a world with talking animals (mice, hares, badgers, rats, wildcats, and others) that go around killing each other. It's mainly for kids, but I think it's great for all ages.

Even the least popular of the books still hold your attention. My favorite is hard to choose. I love Salamandastron. Martin the Warrior was great and will always be special for me because it's the first I read before I realized there was a whole series.

Maybe it's just been too long since I've read a Redwall novel (I have read the entire Discworld series between the last book and now, after all), but Triss seems really good. I think it's the fact that Jacques does some great character developement within this one. Plus, I love having 3 major otter characters: Skipper, Kroova, and Shogg.

I prefer all of them up to Marlfox, after that I think his work started flagging or i grew to old. Cause my favorites were Outcast of Redwall, Pearls of Lutra and Marlfox

I think Mossflower is my favorite. It was the first one I read (the next was Redwall.) I really liked the characters in Mossflower.

One of my favorites was The Legend of Luke. That one was pretty cool, but the reason I liked it so much was that it was one of the first ones that I read.

I didn't like that one as much. I haven't read it for a while, but as I remember, only the 2nd book was about Luke! The rest was just Martin. Seemed kinda pointless to me.
