Mostly they do, mine on the other hand is like someone that most americans refer to as 'old Hag', always complaining and berating me about how I should handle my baby daughter( more beatings and all and about how she did that to her kids and how they grew into fine, healthy adults).
But in general...... yeah oma's( dutch for grandma's) rock.

p.s. nice cloth, nice of your yia-yia to knit them for you too

Other than my LOTR swords. I would have to say my favorite is the Japanese Katana ( from Japan ) I own. The blade has no blemishes on it even though I have put it to the test..:D :D

After careful consideration, I made this list of my all-time favourite non-lotr swords. Here they are, the top three:

    1) Discerner - The Lindsay Sword by Albion
    2) Brescia Spadona by Albion
    3) Orchid Katana by Hanwei

Wtf is that?! Looks horrible. Seriously, I could make a prettier sword out of moss and granite from my backyard. EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW Almost as bad as a Kit Rae sword.

Mika, you know I'd agree with you on that beloved katana of ours. (someday we'll have one) and all that other stuff looks great too.

I'd have to say my favorite non LOTR sword would be... Sword of Ibelin for medieval, and the orchid for me.... Just completely my style. :)

Sorry, Huma, I have to agree with Fox on this one. It's really over-the-edge design. :yak:

More like somekinda really tasteless toy.

It just sucks. Yeah, it's my opinion, but I have good taste too. :)

Silver and gold is a risky business. First, a detailed metal handgrip usually looks like impractical crap. Which I'm sure it is, as it is NC. Second, the pommel sucks. Third, the crossguard is incredibly ugly. Jagged design looks like a pine branch. No consistency in the design other than the fact that everything sucks equally as bad. Blade looks like a broken piece of a bathroom mirror, and looks like some little 10 year old kid wrote his name on it with sharpie so he wouldnt get it stolen from the boyscouts. It's just really bad.

The discerner Mika posted. THATS what excalibur should look like. It's a beautiful sword.

Oh, come on Fox, it's not THAT bad. I've seen much worse swords!

    Uhm, wait a second...

    Actually, I haven't. You're completely right.

Both of you knock it off. This thread isn't titled "Hang crap on what other people like." We all like what we like.
