i have read the books.. what i was saying in my post was that even if i hadn't read the books id still see gimli as the great warrior type, "the first guy into the battle and the last one to stop" sort of a guy.. although he is also portraid as the clumsy funny dwarf in the films..

It's somethign they've put into the movies. When Pippin is made a knight of Gondor, he needs armour but they don't have anything small enough and they don't have time to make it, so he gets the armour that Faramir wore as a child.
That also explains why his armour looks that little bit more ornate than your average fighting man, seeing as Faramir was the son of the Steward.

Easterling armour. I like it because of how original the design is.

I dislike the easterling helmets. The wings on top look like if I had the ranger sword I'd just have to swing at them in order to take the guy's helmet off.

my favorite of the thread is gondorian, that includes all from the regular soldiers to aragorn's armor. I also love sauron's armor and the witch-king armor, and i love theoden's armor.

Had to go with Rohan here. I like the Irish influences in it, and it just looks plain cool!

    *lol* You're a Rohirrim, I knew you'd choose a Rohan-armour.
Right, Éomer's armour looks... whoa, incredible! But I don't really like the armours of the other rohan-soldiers.
But I chose an elven armour. They're perfect. They're useful and they look good.
    Elves rule.
