    Sai/Chainsaw

We've seen Raphael the warrior-turtle wield the cool sai on the cartoon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

We've seen Bruce Campbell wield the chainsaw as a weapon in the film Army of Darkness.

While the sai and the chainsaw are not my favorite fantasy weapons, they are certainly handy-dandy tools if you want to create general ravage; plus, they're great for 'shadow-world' storytelling.

It would be interesting to see what kinds of weapons storytellers can come up with that are completely derived from shadows. We know Green Lantern (DC Comics) can create hologram-like shape-shifting weapons with actual mass/density, so why not have a fantasy/comics character create devastating weapons that are completely comprised of shadows?

Remember Venger's 'friend' Shadow Demon from the fantasy-realm cartoon Dungeons & Dragons?

Might be slightly irrelevant, but Lu Bu's Halberd in Dynasty Warriors (6? I believe)
Dalinar Kholins Shardblade, Oathbringer (way of kings)

Lu Bu, in general, is a weapon. Can't believe I forgot about Oathbringer. Goddamnit.

That is very true, but Lu Bu with a halberd is just a bad ass machine of death.

And every shardblade is pretty cool lets be honest.

On yet another unrelated note :D, I think DW6 was my least favorite in the series. DW5 is probably still my favorite. I played that game for hours when I first got it.

    Tech Outpost: Deadbot?

I'd like to see more talk about modern age tech-geek related weaponry (lasers, espionage gear, smart-bombs, etc.), since they make for great paramilitary fantasy fight storytelling (e.g., G.I. Joe).

    Oh well, there's so many;)
But I generally adore all Tolkien's elven weapons. I don't know if my choice is being manipulated by the way they were crafted for the movies but hey, they're awesome. Elves all the way.

Excalibur - probably the most famous fantasy sword at all.
Silver sword of Witcher - famous sword killing monsters and abominations.
Sword of truth - it generates a nice sound and it even changes its color.

    So...here's my list, so far.

First off, the twin swords Kansho and Bakuya used by Archer Emiya in Fate/Stay Night.

The Excalibur and the Gae Bolg are also candidates to that, but there's also Balmung used by Siegfried.

Just to top it off, I am not sure why this is not mentioned but there are two weapons that came from one particular series (just that they are of different 'continuities').
    - The Vampire Killer
    - The Combat Cross

Both weapons are from Castlevania and these are whips (more like a chain of sorts for the Combat Cross) capable of slaying fiends and undead, more so against vampires. Though the impressive thing about these weapons would still lie on their wielders, making the Belmonts a formidable family of badasses. I guess it doesn't help that I was playing Lament of Innocence just now.
