What are you looking forward to most in the extended edition?

I'm looking forward to all of it, personally! November 18th can't come soon enough!:D

But I really want to see more of Faramir and the flashbacks with him and Boromir.

I think I will look forward to the Ent scenes they cut out the most. And all the commentaries, esp. PJ's+Co. and the Casts. Hopefully this year Viggo will be talking, I would love to hear what he has to say.

Oh c'mon..? The Ents yes, but the recut footage I am most-looking forward to is that of the Boromir flashbacks.. C'MON! IT'S BOROMIR!!@? ..These scenes will be definitely enhance Boromir as a character in the Fellowship and give reason to Faramir's struggle to resist the Ring. The celebrations after reclaiming Osgiliath and the Horn of Gondor cloven in two.. Oh BOY-O-BOY!!

I love the commentaries...they're hilarious!! You find out secrets that you otherwise wouldn't know. It's great.

Yeah, everything will be great to see. There's no specific instance in my mind, currently.

Oh, I forgot about the commentaries! Those are great! So cool. I hope Viggo does them too. Why didn't he on the Fellowship? I was surprised that he didn't.

I can't wait to see the whole lot either. 43 minutes extra footage is a lot of extra scenes or extended scenes. Definately will be awesome. Roll on Nov 18.:)

I think it would be cool to see the scene where arwen says: "you have the gift of foresight; tell me what you have seen!" Remember that one?

The trees. They played such an important role at helms deep. I want to see the trees moving and settling the score with the orcs.

Yeah, I'd like to see why ALL of the elves died. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Elves are supposed to be great warriors and all that...

I don't think it was ever stated that they were any better warriors than men (or even orcs). Perhaps implied by it saying they were exceptional warriors, but I can't recall any instance in that it was said.

I don't think they all died. Quite a few retreat, and the movie just doesn't show them again. I mean, Aragorn stuck around forever with Haldir and he survived, the Elves took off before he did. I think it just focused more on the Rohirrim and thir struggle.

I've heard he's a relatively quiet man compared to Orlando or Elijah.

I don't think all the elves died. If you watch the panning screen with the retreat to the keep you will see that several elves are in front of Legolas. And don't forget who carried Gimli away. But I do agree that they died to easily.

The main reason I want to see the extended version is because of Aragorn. If you remember the ten minute preview we had of TTT on the FotR DVD you'll recall Peter Jackson saying that this is the movie where Aragorn comes face to face with his destiny. Since Aragorn is one of my favorite characters I was looking forward to this aspect of the movie. But the closest they came to his responsibility as king is where Gandalf says "They will need you before the end Aragorn. Rohan will need you. The defenses have to hold." But now there's several new scenes about Aragorn like, "One of the Dunedain," "The Ring of Barahir," and a few others.

Just because Viggo is quite doesn't mean he can't do the commenteries. But whatever makes your boat float...

I think the scene that best illustrates what Aragorn is to become is when he and Gandalf are talking together just after they leave Fangorn. It was the best. I really wish it had been left in the theatrical version.

Yeah that tells a lot about Aragorn.. I still miss the scene where Arwen says something with: "You have the gift of foresight...." I'm really disappointed that it wasn't in the TTT EE.. Perhaps in the ROTK?

I think it is. Remember the scene from the trailer when the figure walks up to the shards of Narsil? That clip was in the RotK trailer too.
