I'm trying to write a character with an element based weapon but all I can think of for elements are fire, ice, water, air, electricity, and earth. These all are the main elements but I want to try a bit less common element. I could use ice as it is less common but I can't think of anything else...any element suggestions?

Maybe plasma, or you could make a nature-like Elemental like Spriggans

I've also seen light, dark/shadow, aether, acid, and nature used as elements in fantasy.

    Quintessence, soul, time, space topology...
Madness, taint and corruption also are options if your work has some lovecraftian influence.

Also you can invent elements like "crimson", "alumentum" or "equilibrium", etc. The problem is that these adds a complexity to the work that must be explained.

    Octarine?
