Who do you think will win in the battle of ranger supremos? Ok, I know they're from different series, but so is the previous Drizzt vs Legolas thread, right? :D Anyway, my vote goes to Drizzt. :)

I really want to see the justification claim for that guy who voted for Aragorn. No disrespect to that guy, but Drizzt is pwnage in Hunter mode like what Met has implied...

I think that people are voting for Aragon just for the fun of it because we know that they can't be serious.

Yes, because "Drizzt has pwnage" is such an excellent justification.:D

There's a reason on the whole "Drizzt being pwnage" being true. Read all the Drizzt books and you'll know why. The whole Hunter mode is a terror. Definitely something Aragorn can't keep up with. If there's any FR character that is the closest to Aragorn in terms of fighting technique, I'll say it's Tarathiel and Innovindil of the Hunter's Blades Trilogy. You go and ask Aragorn to square up against Drizzt or Artemis Entreri and he'll defnitely be pwned big time. These two buggers are way beyond that guy's league.

How exactly is Anduril a piece of junk? Could 'Twinkle and Icingdeath' *laughs mockingly at swords* take on the Dead? No.

They are magical scimitars capable of hurting any creature, dragons, demons and all sorts of stuff like that, you name it.

FYI, dude, for Icingdeath at least, it is arguably more powerful than Anduril. The reason is basically because it can deal higher damage against demonic creatures of the Lower Plane. (dunno if I got that place name right, but FR fans should know what I'm talking about...) It HAS been shown in the FR canon during the Legacy of the Drow series. (I include Passage to Dawn as one of the series to make things more simple.)

In fact, it can pwn any form of fire entity and fire magic due to it's nature. Anduril? Dude, the only thing it can do is to make the King of the Dead obey Aragorn and most likely Errtu will pwn him in terms of greatness. And yes, even Errtu was freakin' wary of Icingdeath. If you've seen Drizzt's battle against that guy during the end of the fight in Passage to Dawn, that guy was virtually on the way back to his old home when Drizzt stabbed him with that kick ass scimitar... and he also defeated another demon of the Lower Plane in the Siege of Darkness book of the same series I've talked about with that very same kick ass blade. And definitely it can pwn a Balrog as well if there was one in FR...

To be fair to Aragorn though, IMO, Anduril should be able to pwn Twinkle. Somehow, I don't think it can measure up to the symbol of the kingship of Arnor and Gondor.

That being said though, I remember the fight against the King of the Dead is most likely in the movie since from what I've remembered in the original novels, Aragorn never fight with any dead dude. It's like all that happen was the dead recognized Aragorn's birthright and follow him straight without any question.

Well, if it was a fight between Drizzt and Aragorn, Icingdeath's power wouldn't come into play. Aragorn isn't a demon or fire based , so Icingdeath would only serve as a finely wrought scimitar.

Twinkle is a defence based sword, it's primarily a block and counter type sword. Although it's actually pretty similar in traits to Narsil/Anduril. They both shine with a glow when unsheathed (well....Narsil glowed...Anduril doesn't lol). Narsil was forged by amazing dwarf smith's, whilst Twinkle was "It was forged in the magic of the powers that all the surface elves hold dear," said Malchor. "Of the stars and the moon and the mysteries of their souls.

Putting Twinkle aside. On top of what Azuren said, Icingdeath can also absorb fire and heat, protecting its wielder against fire. Plus even if the Demon is not fire based it's still very effective.

The King of the Dead is nothing infront of some of the other creatures of the FR universe. On top of all of this, Drizzt is probably recognised as the most skilled swordsman in much of the fantasy universe. He's a SUPER swordsman lol. He also has amazing skill battle tactics. Even before he had these swords, he was a total beast of a fighter. Taking out oneof the most powerful Dragons with only himself and Wulfgar using normal weapons lol.

    Edit: To answer Sorillion.

Icingdeath's power is at it's peak when fighting fire based creatures. Yet against other stuff it's just only one step down in power and is still a very potent weapon.

Edit 2: I wante dot add to Drizzt's pimpness!

This guy was born to pwn things. At like some stupidly young age (5 or something), he was already being whipped by deadly whips from his own siblings and mother, so his damage threshold is really quite high. Not only that, he's been fighting nearly all his life and has fighting ingrained into him.
