I'm allowing this in General Talk for now. ;)

Cause I have so much other stuff to read first. I will get around to it, Adina.

How well does it compare to A Song of Ice and Fire?

It's quite different from A Song of Ice and Fire. It focuses less on politics, and more on adventuring.

Regardless of how it compares (I cannot specify as I have finished asoiaf) it's a good read. The point is, if it doesn't compare then at least you'll have read it and know for yourself.
Personally I found it relatively easy to read, but enjoyed it immensely nontheless.

It's a must read. Try and read the last few chapters of Dragons of Spring Dawning before you go onto Time of the twins (first book in the legends) because it follow right on from there pretty much. The last book (Test of the twins) was a really emotional read, at least for me it was.

I attempted to read DragonLance but found it, well....lame and cheesy. There I said it. It was sorta cliched fantasy work, and it just didn't interest me at all. Perhaps I just read a crap book, or perhaps the series is like that, hopefully i'll never have to know :D

Tas is by far one of the most likeable characters ever written. His ever present, happy-go-lucky nature always make you smile.

Oh, I find Kellhus from the Prince of Nothing series to put a smile on my face. His ability to manipulate people and always say the right things to sway people to his side is quite badass, frankly.
