    Hello from Serbia!

I'm trying to find any information about very interesting and unigue, knight device used reputedly during XV century.

Some historians from my country claim that it is possible that Vuk Brankovich (also known as Dragon Fiery Wolf), grandson of the last Serbian despot Djuradj Brankovich, got his nickname because of the special helmet he used in the battle.

Brankovich, as they claim, had a dragon on his helmet with some sort of "mechanism" that made the dragon "spit fire and smoke" on enemies.

I like medieval armament very much but never came across anything like this!

But, few days ago I was looking the plates from Manesse Codex (illuminated manuscript in codex form copied and illustrated between 1304-1340) and found a portrait of John I of Brabant, Duke of Brabant, Lothier and Limburg.

    Look at his helmet:

    - Can anyone help me with information about this knight device?
    - Anyone ever heard of something like this?
    - Maybe, advice where to look?

    THANX:draught:
