Does anyone else think there's more to Elyas than we know?

There's just something about him that doesn't seem to click. He's a little too convenient for Perrin, especially the way he showed up again, just at the right time. He never helps Perrin with the wolves any more and didn't even mention Dumai's Wells, probably the most important event for the wolves for centuries. He doesn't seem to care what Perrin's got planned for them either, they've been his only friends for years, why doesn't he care more?

Also, he killed two Warders when he was escaping, why didn't their Aes Sedai demand he be hunted down? We know his Aes Sedai could have found him.

That brings about another question to my mind. Who is his Aes Sedai?

Off the top of my head I think her name's Rina.

His Aes Sedai is Rina of the Green Ajah and she's a sitter. I looked on a couple sites and that's all I could find about her.

I think part of the reason his Aes Sedai doesn't seem interested in finding him, is the dulled bond is an asset for her. An Aes Sedai can sense a warder's thoughts and emotions. It might be uncomfortable for her to sense the thoughts of a wolfbrother. I'd imagine all sorts of strange feelings go through him, like Perrin's ability to smell emotions. Possibly, the distance between them, keeps her from the full brunt of his abilities.

Maybe no other Aes Sedai helped chase him down because Rina didn't let anyone know exactly what happened. I can't picture her jumping up and down shouting, "oh, oh, oh... My warder killed your warder."

Yes but I can't see a scenario of two Warders being killed when they're trying to capture Elyas (remember he said he had to kill them to escape from the AS) and their Aes Sedai not even trying to find out what happened.

Also, given the consequences of his death for her, why would she let him run free, why not at least track him down and release him?

Since she is a Green, perhaps the other two warders were hers as well?

Possible but I think he'd have expressed it stronger than "nasty business that". But we do see him practicing in New Spring, I think he's practicing with his two brother Gaidin.

Also, given Erian's reaction to Rand killing two of hers she'd have been more likely to track down the traitorous darkfriend they seem to have believed he was. Also, as a Sitter it would reflect very badly on her to just let him go.

I'm sure the Aes Sedai tried to find out what happened. But "dead men tell no tales" (<-- It is speak like a pirate day). Because I would think you would be held responsible for your warder's actions. Therefore Rina would have been punished/disgraced in some way for her warder's murders. The only possible conclusion I can come to is for some reason Rina didn't tell anyone her warder committed those crimes.

She probably hasn't released him for a couple reasons. One, it seems that Aes Sedai very rarely do; custom seems to be almost as important as law to them. And two, she may need him for some reason again. It never pays to get rid of anything you might be able to use in the future. Many Aes Sedai see people (especially men) as items to be used. My opinion is she's letting him run free til he's useful.

Ok but what about the rest of it? Him showing up at exactly the right time, not discussing the wolves, mentioning Dumai's Wells or wondering about Perrin's plans?

Only Warders when their Aes Sedai die, they usually die avenging their death. Aes Sedai become extremely depressed and cry a lot but don't die.

Nope, she is now a Sitter for the Green in the Tower under Elaida. And her name's Rina.

Ryma was the one captured by the Seanchan and renamed Pura.
