I've never actually beat him, but I'll share my experiences (not that you haven't got any experiences :D)

    use something that absorbs shadow
    DON'T use Doomsday
    keep some megalixers handy
keep a white mage in your party

Ozma is suppose to the toughest Boss in FFIX. Anyway, if you have Quina's Magic Hammer, use it till Ozma's MP is down to 0 and he can only use 1 or 2 attacks :D

Not really...it depends on Quina's level, if you've got Quina at a low level then you can use Freya instead...:D

It's worth training Quina, he's the best. Catch lots of frogs.

I found Eiko to be the tide-turner in my winning battle. I got her Trance bar around 3/4 of the way full before the battle, and during Trance she was dishing out over 9999 with a double dose of Holy. Of course the idea behind it was if someone was in critical need of curing, she could give them a Curaga, AND cast some damage on Ozzy. I also had Dagger in there for curing, but I suppose you could trade her for another offensive attacker. Steiner with Shock and Freya with Dragon Crest would be incredibly powerful, especially if Zidane's backing them up with good damage from Thievery (mine was close to 7000 or so as I'd be stealing for the entire game).

Bosses like Ozma are pretty simple, their just normal bosses with stupid amounts of Hp, and one or two high powered moves.

Just make sure you keep using lots of Trance moves and keep lots of megaelixirs in store. It's just a time game of hacking and healing, no tactics really. Just make sure you don't set off any counters.
