But since he hasn't replied for a couple of days I'm taking over *glee*

What did the Time Monks give Vimes in "Night Watch" so he would know that he was not going nutty?

    His cigar case.

When the Monks of Cool are brought into the huge room full of clothes and, as their final test, told to select the coolest outfit, what is the correct response?

I think it's something like: whatever I choose

How did Vimes respond to Vetinari when he asked this question in Thud:
"What would you do if I asked you an outright question Vimes?"

It's something like, "Then I'd have to lie."
    "In that case I won't."

    Which line completes this description?
Elves are wonderful. They provoke wonder.
Elves are marvellous. They cause marvels.
Elves are fantastic. They create fantasies.
Elves are glamorous. They project glamour.
Elves are enchanting. They weave enchantment...

Well done, someone's finally come up with a Discworld question that I actually had to look up!

Oh, I knew exactly where to look (and if it hadn't been there I'd have gone to Monstrous Regiment to check the Elektric Floorbanger), I just don't feel it's sporting. If no one else gets it I'll post then.

Fair enough, I'll have to reread Monstrous Regiment now, It was the first I read, and I don't remember the specifics so good.

I don't know if it is a good enough answer so I'll post it and see what you say.
It's a trick, you have a guard come running in with a crate of Ginger Beer, well in view of the prisoner you want to talk, then say out loud "make sure it's well shaken, otherwise it won't work" then, pop one of the bottles and have someone scream, loudly.

That is what they do in the books so I'll accept it. There is actually a Ginger Beer trick, I was just wondering if anyone else knew exactly what it was ;)

I think there is a lot of debate about that, since it isn't stated what the real trick is besides that it is a trick, all you really need is an orifice that is sensitive and off you go, have fun ;)

What does DEATH say to Susan in regards to justice in the universe?

It's actually the nose to which it is applied, so it fizzes up one nostril, through the sinuses and down the other... Quick and (relatively) easy to administer and left no marks.

"THERE'S NO JUSTICE, ONLY US." I think.

That's kinda the gist, it's along the lines fo "there is no truth justice or honour, these things are lies" or something like that, but I never can remember it properly.

Ask away and let's see If I can answer it.

That it is, generally chestnut. I must check up Night Watch and see if her hair's mentioned when Vimes meets her in the past...

I'm actually surprised that I remembered that it was a wig, I can only remember it being mentioned once.

Ok, what is the special thing about Captain Carrot's sword?

It has absolutely no magical enchantments whatsoever.

Who had the dream of "having so much gold in his pockets that he'd have to employ two men just to hold his trousers up"?
