That was the jon shannow books. He spins around and shoots a young boy as far as I recall Waylander.
I'm to busy to check which one in particular but i'm sure I've narrowed your search immensly.

Thankyou :D I couldn't remember who, Jon Shannow is an amazing character aswell^^

I think there have been enough Drenai books for now, Davin Gemmell should keep working on the 2nd Troy book, the first was really well written, and i can't wait for the next :D Maybe another Skillgannon the Damned would be good though...

Hmmmm... I didn't take to Skillgannon as a character that much, I think he's a bit stereotyped. I agree though that there has been enough Drenai books printed to fell a few forests, and what we need is a new and exciting line of books from David Gemmell, hopefully(I've just started reading lord of the etc.) Troy will prove to be just that.

Troy will be that new series Klay, it's really well written, and its written in our history...well the geography is, maybe not the names and events, but its based on a part of history..

Skillgannon was a bit stereotyped, but i still like him - especially the weapons, I really like that because it makes the fights more interesting. Also what he had to go through and sacrafice makes him an emotional character.

The Waylander trilogy is really good, and he's an amazing character, I think there should be 1/2 more books about him, as well as Skillgannon. But Troy is great, and i want more of that aswell lol.

I've read most of Gemmell's books and I have to agree, the Waylander is an amazing character. The Waylander trilogy is probably my favourite of all his books... But then, there're the Druss books, which are equally good, and Winter Warriors, Dark Moon and Troy were all excellent reads as well. In fact, gotta say, every one of his books that I've read has been brilliant. Gemmell is a God amongst fantasy writers.

I read Troy in about a day. I really enjoyed it, but I am kind of prejudiced - I have loved every single Gemmell book I've read. I even enjoyed Morningstar, and you have to admit that was one of his worst efforts.

I am quite curious to see where he goes with this series. Will it echo our history, with the final great battle and the fall of Troy, or will it focus on other events that don;t feature (possible never happened) in our history?

I hate having to wait for sequels.

I just bought 3 more over the weekend. White Wolf, Bloodstone, and The Hawk Eternal. After Knife of Dreams I'll be hard at it again.

You'll like the Rigante Waylander. I liked them better than some of the Drenai books.
