so does anyone think they will be continuing the series into the new gen of consoles?
Bloodbourne man, it already kind of has. Bloodbourne reeks of souls design. Maybe not a direct "souls" game will come out soon but From soft has been making bank and they will grow off it.
yea, that's definitely a game that is making me think of getting a ps4 very soon. it looks amazing.
just got the demon souls (ie the first game in the series) for free dl. gonna give it a go.
apparently all of them are pretty ruthless.
they're a lot of fun when you learn how you fight best.
I only played "DS 1: Prepare to Die", and found that incredibly tough, before I switched to DS2 after the steam summer sale
I highly recommend diving back into DkS1. If you get stuck on anything though this has become a pretty good support thread. Playing the Souls games completely blind is torment, there are some mechanics and features that just need to be told to get the most out of it.
I'll get back onto it someday, but after an update it just started to crash before it even left the desktop, so I didn't bother to troubleshoot
time to resurrect this thread a bit to announce for anyone who was like me and didn't know: Dark Souls 2 is coming out for new gen (or at least Xbox One, not sure on the PS4, though I don't see why it wouldn't be). that is all
Still struggling with this. Sob...
I recently took up Dark Souls again, because I still haven't got all the achievements. I finished NG+ last weekend, had reached the Kiln of the First Flame months ago but never dared to fight Gwyn without my brother's help (or, well, I did, once, and Gwyn quickly killed me). I finally did it last Sunday, only taking Solaire with me, who was a great help and even survived the fight.
I'm now in NG++ because all I still need is to collect all miracles, because I never managed to keep Rhea of Thorolund alive - I had always saved her in the Tomb of Giants, but always continued playing, so she died in Undead Parish. I'll avoid it this time, and am currently trying to get the Lordvessel so I can warp between bonfires. I've reached Ornstein and Smough, but don't dare to fight them alone.
I'm just gonna leave this possible leak here. enjoy
Anyone been keeping up with DA3 at all? what I have seen, it looks awesome, though I have heard that it may be the last souls game.
I still haven't even played the Dark Souls 2 DLC. Yesterday, when I was trying to decide what to play, I realised that I hadn't played Dark Souls in months. Didn't play it, though, because I was afraid that after all this time I might have lost my skill, so I'd die as soon as I started playing.
that's kinda why I have had difficulty getting back into it, but I intend to soon, might even broadcast my epic failness
