Thanks, Firi. I worked out how to use Pyromancy and Miracles yesterday, so that's something I guess.

Now, who in the hell are the Four Kings? And am I really ready to take them on yet?

In New Londo ruins, you'll have to kill an NPC to get to them early. If you beef up your pyromancy and get a good weapon you could probably take them down. You're going to need to beat Sif first though for the abysswalker ring.

Sif is quite easy to kill if you know his weaknesses, and if he doesn't jump around too much. As he's quite big you can just stand below him and hit him over and over again, and he can't harm you down there. He'll jump around every once in a while, but you'll be safe if you're strong enough to block his attacks until you manage to get below him again. I managed to defeat him at the first try with this tactic. :D

Wow. Just how large is that guy? He sounds like a giant! :D

I made some progress today. I killed the moonlight butterfly thingy and got a bunch of stuff, then found a key to the Darkroot Basin. That looks like a scary place.

Did you take Beatrice with you when you fought the butterfly?

Also, Darkroot Basin is nothing in comparison to New Londo when it comes to creepiness. :D

I didn't last long in New Londo. It creeped me out too much. :D

And, no, I didn't take Beatrice with me. I hope I wasn't supposed to. I beat the butterfly all by myself after about four tries. :)

Go over here. Die die die die die. Go over there. Die die die die die. Just stand in one spot. Die die die die die.

Walk away from the game and take some deep breaths. :D

I know exactly what you mean. I hate paying my hard-earned money for a game and then getting my ass kicked.

I keep saying "I know that feel" in this thread, but it's just so true. :D

However, there are two things I learned from this game: Firstly, patience, secondly, the lesson that life is so much easier when you know the right people. >_>

Next time you DkS players in here take a break in a moment of frustration, read this article: What Dark Souls Is Really All About
It's probably one of the best articles I've read about it. Although many people will disagree, those who have learned to love the game despite its difficulty will understand!

Oh, what the frak. I returned to the first Dark Souls again because my brother isn't online, and I wanted to enter the Duke's Archives, of which the entrance is, as you might know, guarded by two armoured tusks. I killed the first one by luring it out and hitting it with fireballs, but the second one got me because it trapped me in the hallway. Went back, almost killed it with pyromancies (one more fireball and it would have been dead), and then it got me again. Lost around 170,000 souls.
However, it's amazing I reacted only with a curse instead of ragequitting. I'm a bit proud of myself.

I had to google what you meant, and now I realised I've never encountered anything like it before. I didn't even know this was possible! :O

Do it, the both of you! I think I haven't played Dark Souls in two weeks, as my brother and I have experienced problems when trying to summon each other. I created most of my characters (I've got 2 in Dark Souls, 3 in Dark Souls 2) to play them in co-op mode, so this sucks like hell. I could continue playing my DkS 2 cleric, but I've planned to complete GTA V before returning to any other game. :D

All righty then. I'll do it! I'm going to be so out of practice though...
