I'm in the same position as starknight "To show-off or not show-off, that is the question!" :D Because as one of the winner of the Hadhafang contest I would like to show people what I've done but they're is so much kind of people out there and I think that most of you won't take it and say "Hey people! look, I've donne this!" with my sword :p but anyway, if some of you would like to see it just say it and I'll send it to you

Well, I figured that IF anything ever came of it, I could prove that I was the original artist.......I still have the original 3D model file on a disk.

With that said.........BEHOLD!!!!!! The Starsword! :D

This is the one I would have made if it were possible. It's an original design by me, the created in computer graphics programs.

Black and white or not, I like it :D Cool design! Love the use of runes and the design where the blade and hilt meet. Pommel design is cool too. And the background....and....and.....and...... it's just really cool! LOL

I love it, correct me if I am wrong but is that the tree of Gondor on the hilt and crossbar?. And the pommel has Gil-galad's emblem on it, I love it all. wish I didn't promise anything about copying and all. But I am a man of my word so I stick with it.
I am busy designing my own sword right now. I am totally not finished yet but I have already sent a copy to John Lundemo of Odinblades to get a indication about the costs. I am planning to ask him to realize my sword once I get my Visa card which I ordered a month ago, guess things go rather slow here in the Netherlands.
But I am drifting, either way celestialy, Your sword design is one of the most beautiful i've seen so far. you're really talented.

you're absolutely right for the white tree of gondor and emblem finrod.
Engraved on the blade are runes in the elven language of Sindarin that say **Alliance is my name, In honour of the Last Alliance I have been forged**

cool text, I am thinking on a text for my sword for months now
but I am still not sure. How did you get the words translated into the elvish letters (tengwar is it)?

That's one reason I never use runes in my designs.... I have no idea what I'd say and have never gotten the hang of translating it into anything. Although I like the look of runes on a blade or hilt.

Well said Starknight, Wish I had paid some attention in Tengwar class down at kindergarden.
also wish Tolkien hadn't died before writing some dictionary concerning the elvish tongues.

interesting designs in your blades guys.

it would be nice to see them come off the screen and into the hand oneday.
thats if you havent designed several hundred other designs by then.
    :)
