So, who is the greatest Elf in the Silmarillion? Is it Turgon, is it Beleg Strongbow ? Tell us who you like and why.

Personally, i love Feanor, he shows us that Elves aren't perfect and can indeed be corrupted. He's also a bad ass, he shut his door to Morgoth. The most powerful inhabitant in Ea. On top of that he created both the Silmarils, and the Palantir.

Other favourites include Fingolfin and Gil-galad.

    Go Fingolfin. Might unmatched.

Best part in the book is when he went to challenge Morgoth.

I've got to go with Fingolfin too. You can't beat his challenging of Morgoth.

Hmm... I hadn't even considered Eol. Well, he's not really "cool", just interesting. So is Maeglin.

The only think i like about Eol is he made wicked weapons. Beleg Cuthalion is really cool too and so is Fingon, I love that scene were he is felled by Gothmog and another Balrog. It was really sad how Tolkien wrote it.

I also like Feanor most. Perhaps because of what EMT said. But in my opinion he's just an interesting character, he's not like all the other Elves.

Your opinion, I guess, the coolest thing about Ecthelion is that he actually fought valiantly at the fall of Gondolin.
