Oh everyone knew what i meant :p

and the one i went to wasn't that great, it was just good to see my friend who was selling his book.
i feel like comic-con or one of the big functions would be really fun, though

Big comic conventions are indeed pretty fun.

Going to Momocon (my first ever con) in... May? Maybe going to a MtG-DnD-Pathfinder con in Jan where I should be cosplaying Jace from mtg.

Momocon seems like it'd be fun, although I'm not much for most anime. Should be lots of cool swag you can get though.

Well, it has become a 'thing' to not do just anime at anime cons anymore. Fantasy, comics, etc. I kind of want to try a Flash or Young Justice Kid Flash thing especially now that I need another excuse to wear tights.

The not just doing anime bit is understandable. The two big cons I've been to had a lot more than just comics, I think just bringing as many elements of geekdom together is kind've standard fare.

And definitely go for the young justice kid flash, regular flash gets done way more.

That was the idea. KF's stealth suit... Besides the fact that it'd look super bdsm-y will probably be tons of fun.

Guarantee it won't be the most bdsm-y thing there.

No doubt. Watched that Heroes of Cosplay show (big disappointment btw) and wow. Just wow.

As with all reality shows based on geek culture that one was probably pretty thoroughly staged and built to get tv ratings, but yeah, some cosplayers kinda make you shake your head.

Well it came on after Face Off, that makeup/reality competition show (neither of those traits appeal to me) that I didn't think I would like but... Turns out it's pretty alright. But yeah, and there's the new Fangasm show that I might just outright refuse to watch.

I don't know about that one, but I'm not interested in watching it either way. Television execs like to make a spectacle of geek culture like they're the football star and actual geeks are like the nerds in an 80's teen movie. I'm past all that, television doesn't need my attention and I'm happy to send it somewhere else.

Well I haven't had cable/satellite in ages so the ability to have something to watch on television astounds me again. Still, I prefer just to hunker down on the computer and try to convince the internet to work.

I've always had pretty good internet, which is good because I'd be pretty badly hamstrung in magic without being able to get online. And I don't like to think of what my life would be like without amazon.

I do a lot of Netflix and applying for jobs that I won't get... You never struck me as an online shopaholic though; what's your weakness in that regard? I know I'm bad about cool trinkets, knickknacks, and anything statue-esque. So many small statues and busts and stuff...

Currently it's because I'm converting a big chunk of my comic collection over to trade paperbacks. Once that's done it'll go back to being every couple weeks I'll drop a few bucks on magic and every few months buying a bunch of books en masse. That's still a ways out though, I've got to make at least two or three more big comic purchases to be caught up in that regard.

Magic is an expensive hobby... Like seriously. It's also a contagious disease, an addiction of the soul and mind. I really don't have the money for that at the moment and I kind of regret spending as much money as I did on it while I did have money. Not much into comic books... Or any sort of books at all. The only book I ever bought for myself was the Book of Five Rings and am currently trudging through it.

People in the pokemon tcg zone have been trying to get me into MTG and they are winning. I still like Pokemon TCG though, but I don't like spending money on either. I just make bad rogue decks for fun.

I have yet to make my own MTG deck though. (if you two are even talking about that, I don't know if both of you are into magician tricks now)

*also this is my perception of conventions

Well... Come to think of it, IR might be talking about magician stuff and I think I misinterpreted him because I was talking about mtg. Anyway, yeah, cards are expensive...
