Just come here and post any questions you have about WoT, even if they're stupid, lame or obvious. Hopefully someone can answer them.

I'll start us off; how exactly do you know when a Myrddraal is staring at you. It doesn't have eyes people. Or is it the same feeling you get when someone is wearing dark glasses, but you just know they're looking at you.

And another, something ive forgotten, does Mat speak the Old Tongue because of the dagger ? Or is it because he has alot of Manetheren in him ? If so, why doesn't Perrin, Rand, or anyone else speak it.

I assumed that you just had the feeling of a Myddraal watching you. Kinda of like if you watch someone when their back is turned, eventually they will 'feel your presence'. As for the Mat thing, I think the Old Tounge originally came from his ancestors, but when he recieved his memories he was able to speak the Old Tounge fluently. But I really don't know lol, this what I have assumed so far.

I think Mat speaks the Old Tounge because of when he went through the second doorway, and asked for the holes in his memories to be filled, he was given memories of people who spoke the Old Tounge and that is how he learned it. Just my guess.

I always figured the old tounge came from memories of Mat's former lives, the same as his sudden knowledge of battle and warfare. I agree that the 2nd Ter'angreal probably brought some of those memories back to him.

As for the Fade, that's a good question, maybe he's not really watching. He could be taking a nap, ya never know.

Yeah, but keep in mind that he was spouting off the Old Tounge in EotW. So it probably is a mixture of the two, methinks.

i have a question: is there any evidence to indicate that Modrellein (sp?), Tigraine and Luc's mom, died of foul play instead of grief?

Not that i can recall at the moment, it'd prolly be in the BWB, ill have a look sometime. Not really a question, but something i found odd/funny. In the BWB it says Trollocs distinguish themselves with different hairstyles and stuff, how do Trollocs do they're hair ? In front of mirrors and stuff ? Do girly Trollocs wear pigtails and ribbons ? What's the go ?

No clue on the Trollocs, but here's a question that popped into my head during my last reading season. It probably has an answer, and either a) I have missed during my reading b) I have not arrived upon the answer so far.
"Can a Warder be bonded to two Aes Sedai? An Aes Sedai can have more than one warder, so what would restrict a warder from having more than one Aes Sedai?"

Radagast, in answer to your question can a warder be bonded to more than one Aes Sedai, the answer is yes. Although if I remember correctly there is no record of it having been done before.

By the Way, what is BWB?

I thought I read somewhere that RJ answered the question of the blue flash and said that was caused by to Thom Merrilin's knives, that they are "special" and will appear later in the series. I tried to find that info again and I couldn't.

Am I crazy or did someone else see that too?

No, ur not crazy, i saw that too. And i cant remember if he changed it to "the flash happened before Thom and the Myrddraal started fighting" or if he changed it from that to "Thom's knives are very special indeed" or whatever he said.

I don't remember him saying it happened before they started fighting, I thought it happened because they were fighting.

Anyway, good to know I'm not crazy! Thanks EMT
