Re: Chronicals Of Narnia Weta movie

You BET It Does. I've been waiting my entire life for this movie. You better believe that i'll be seeing it the minute it comes out. I've finally got around to finishing off the rest of the books. Although they are meant to be a childrens series... theres a lot in there a child would not understand or comprehend.

I think this will be just as big as the Lord of the Rings. I doubt that it will go over the LoTR... but they will be extremely tight. Just you want and see!

Re: Chronicals Of Narnia Weta movie

With 7 movies, and with "Children's movies" like Harry Potter, or any CG pixar/dreamworks movie, grossing hundreds of millions, I think its quite possible the series will be the most profitable of all time.

Personally my favorite of the series was The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

I wonder if they'll be making replica swords for this? The swords they showed in that clip looked pretty nice.

Really, Weta does such nice work. Braveheart is a good movie but if you watch the making of it you'll see how all the weapons were mostly identical. Weta puts so much unique detail into each prop, and that really shows in the films.

I agree with you about Weta; they do amazing work.

I definitely think that there will be a large " Chronicles Of Narnia " collection at Sideshow weta, especially after seeing all those miniatures in the clip.

As well, I bet Noble Collection, and United Cutlery will join in too. This could potentially be bigger then LOTR.

Im sure it will be great. If Weta is involved... Here are some pictures I snagged from the movie. I'm trying to convince / petition for UC to start looking into getting the rights to produce some of the weapons and armour from Narnia. The minataurs axe would look great on my wall =)

Brian Cox had been hired to be Aslan's voice but due to a schedule conflict (or a voice change depending on who you believe) he has left the project. Since the movie is in the final stages of post production expect a replacement soon. Several names ranging from Sean Bean to Ian McKellen have been mentioned.

I saw the preview on Starz last night...and I'm totally excited. I loved these books when I was younger (my mom read them all to me).

AICN is reporting that Liam Neeson has been hired and is recording the voice for Aslan. There has been no confirmation yet.
