Step right up and let your opinion be heard!
Well, I voted Anakin (not because of my huge ego) because Lucas said it so himself. The choices you put up are odd to be honest. More obvious choices would be either Luke or Rey, though I still believe Anakin was.
That's a good point. I think I need to delete this thread and add them to it. Leia as well.
Jyn from Rogue One. Haven't seen the new movie.
Anakin was, Luke was and Rey will be?
Luke wasn’t the Chosen One. No doubt he helped his father to bring balance Anakin couldn't have brought balance without him, but Luke wasn’t the chosen one. Rey shouldn’t be either, but it looks like she will be.
For fucks sake ...Anakin was the chosen one.
Sadly , Luke was chosen to go out like a punk to keep the scumbag Disney feminist agenda on track.
And as for Rey . She's also been chosen. By me. As one of the main examples of how bad these Disney Star Wars movies fucking suck.
Well someone earned that nasty epithet...
Sorry, I’m not getting in between. I’ve been in a lot of arguments concerning the sequel trilogy where terms like misogynist and Mary Sue are easily thrown around. There’s no doubt there’s a lot of toxicity going on. It’s a great pity because whether it was bad or not ‘The Last Jedi’ was surely a divisive film. I will only voice my opinion if everyone can stay civil.
I do try and be civil.
NO FUCK THAT!!
Even though I'm just ,like, dying to hear what your 'opinion' is on this suckhole movie, I'm not going to be fucking 'civil' in the least .
That's the fucking problem . Everyone has to be 'civil' about shit and try not to offend anybody else and BLAH ,BLAH ,BLAH .
People can like what they want i guess .But in my opinion , anyone who thinks The Last Jedi was a good movie and that Disney has done a good job with Star Wars since taking over is a dead-set fucking spastic !
Well, I’ve tried both ways. Just complained about the film and what’s it going to do? Nothing. The Rise of Skywalker is going to be a massive hit, whether you like it or not. The Mandalorian seems like it’s a good tv-series. It’s no masterpiece like Breaking Bad, but good nonetheless. When it comes to films Rian Johnson still gets his trilogy. So be mad about that or just ignore it. Move on and keep your head canon as many do. Many just think the saga began with Episode I and ended with VI, because I can guarantee you that Episode IX will undo a lot what Episode VI did.
I agree that everyone should have their right to tell their opinion and I’ve done it so many times on Reddit. Say one bad thing about the ST, even if it’s just a minor thing and you’re still giving only constructive criticism, you’ll be downvoted no matter what. I don’t care about being downvoted. Screw that. You’ll just be insulted because they generalise all the haters as misogynist, racist and on and on.
Yep , Star Wars is dead .
Breaking Bad rules though ...
I am the danger.
A guy opens his door and gets shot and you think that of me?
I am the one who knocks.
Fuck yeah you are !
There is something to be said about how one communicates. Honesty is admirable but so is courtesy.
TLJ I did not like but everything else from Disney era Lucasfilm is enjoyable.
What was your problem with the film?
Problem? As in singular? There are multiple issues. Let me see...
1. Previous trilogies centered around a character who drove the narrative. After TFA, that would be Rey but she is sidelined here, which is unfortunate. Old man Luke is hardly charismatic enough to drive the narrative.
2. The middle movie of a trilogy should give the character in no. 1 more backstory and challenges to develop the character and usher in the finale. Again, epic fail.
3. Would you have killed off Palpatine in ESB? No? Then what a waste offing Snoke so quickly.
4. Kylo Ren was an annoying pain. I know that is subjectve, but still...
5. Wasted Poe having him do nothing during 'the chase' but...
6. As bad as it was, it was far better than Canto Bight and that was... pointless at best.
7. Post credit scene. Is that Rian Johnson's plan for the future? SMH.
TFA is still the most successful movie in US Box Office history. Not even Endgame could approach its $936M in US theaters. So to deviate so wildly from such a successful approach is folly. But I put the blame on Lucasfilm management. They are clueless.
