Race: Forest Elf
God: Dhelian - The Huntress
Weapons: Longbow, Katana, and Short Sword.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Appearance : As a Forest Elf, Lendoril is accustomed to wearing the dark blacks that keep him concealed. He wears black tunic and leggins, which is covered by light leather armor (dyed black) around his bodice and forearms, but wears no other protection besides. Preferring to outmanouver his foe, or defeat him by stealth and surprise. He also wears a black scarf that covers his mouth and nose. Lendoril has long, jet black hair that reaches his shoulders and conceals his face. His unnaturally green eyes burn brightly beneath his fringe, and are a rare gift even among the Elves.
Over his light armor, he wears a long, black cloak with a heavy cowl. His fondness for wearing black has caused him to prefer the night for hunting, as he is practically invisible in darkness. Curiously, his fingernails are as jet black as his hair, an oddity in all races. But one he is not ashamed of.
He carries his favourite Longbow and quiver on his back, and on his left hip hangs his Katana. A deadly, curved weapon, he had custom made in the forges of the Forest Elves. On his right side, his short sword hangs, but does not see much use when compared to his Katana or Longbow.
As a Hunter, Lendoril has worshipped Dhelian all his life, and carries a small necklace with her insignia incribed upon it for good luck. Though it has no magical properities, or enchantments to speak of.
Looking to join the noble Sentinels, and aid the long war with his skills, Lendoril sets out alone to seek their members, and join their ranks.
Sharana Ylavra Wingheart Starflight (her Sentinel name)
Sharana: Seeker of flight and freedom in the old tongue.
Weapons: Bow, knives, a long sword
Class: Sentinel of the Stars, warrior, minor mage
God(s): Primary affiliation, Dhelian the Huntress, secondary affiliation, Dalin the Tamer
Alignment: Good, but the protection of the Well of Stars is her foremost priority
Height: 5' 8"
Weight: 110 lbs
Race: Winged Elf (of the Sky Elves)
A brief note on the Sky Elves: the long-lived (though not immortal) sky elves are elves who claim to command the element of air. There are two kinds: the Winged Elves, who have wings growing from their backs, and Windriders, who tame the various beasts of the air—but only those that are not sentient. One example is the roc, a gigantic bird which can be trained to carry a rider. While the sky elves are kin with the forest elves, and will help their kinfolk should problems arise, they tend to be a proud, aloof people, arrogant of being a Windrider. They all share contempt and disdain for “groundwalkers,” as they call those who are not Sky Elves but neither do they condemn groundwalkers.
Appearance, History, and Personality: Sharana is a slender, ethereal creature, her pale skin, silvery-white hair, silvery-blue wings and eyes making her look more like a ghost than an elf. While her delicate bones and fragile, sleepy beauty makes her look like an easy target, the illusion conceals a fully competent fighter and mage willing to protect the Well of Stars at all costs. She looks as if she belongs drifting among the stars rather than in the world of Liandrah. However, her hard eyes have seen much of the world, and she is very cynical of others, if they are not Sentinels. Although she is very young for the long-lived elves (so young that most protested her appointment to the Sentinels), she is very wise and smart for her age.
She does not often wear armor, and when she does, it is special armor for Winged Elves, allowing for her wings to fit through slits. Her weapons and armor are made of a special metal belonging solely to the Sky Elves, as hard as steel yet as light as cloth. This tends to give Sky Elves agility and speed, although they often lack the sheer strength of the other races. Her arrows are fletched with flight feathers from her own silvery-blue wings, but her bow is an interesting point. It is called the Windwolf, an enchanted bow long held by the Winged Elves in their treasury, although none have been able to wield it--except for her. The Windwolf eventually passed to the Sentinels when none of their number could master it, and the Sentinels renamed it the Starwolf, waiting for its chosen bearer to master it. All Sentinels are given the chance to attempt to learn how to use it, and when Sharana tried it out, it responded to her touch and so she won the Starwolf. It requires immense strength to draw and aim with it, but it does not easily miss and has curious magical properties that she has not yet discovered. She also has knives secreted everywhere about her person, and wears her long sword either belted at her hip or slung upon her back, depending on where her bow is. She dresses in one of three colors: gray (this set of clothes combines every shade of gray possible), silvery-blue the color of her wings and eyes, or, on special occasions, midnight blue. But no matter what she is wearing, she always hangs her star necklace about her neck, and oftentimes fastens to her cloak a brooch in the shape of a star.
She is of a minor noble house, Ylavra, which was elevated to greater esteem when Sharana was picked out to become a Sentinel of the Stars, a prestigious position. However, ever since she joined the secretive Sentinels, she has become less open and less concerned with politics, which dominate her House’s life. She has also become admittedly more pessimistic and darker as she fights back wave after wave of demons in search of the Well of Stars. However, with her comrades, Sharana is very lighthearted and merry, an odd contrast to the face she presents to her family. But her arrogance at being a Winged Elf has disappeared, an anomaly in the proud Sky Elves, who never permit others to forget that they are groundwalkers. Instead, this has been replaced with a mixture of pride at being a Sentinel and an awareness of the harsher realities—that she will most likely die soon in the line of duty. Because of this, Sharana prefers to walk alone, although she will ally with anyone should the need arise.

Occupation: Thief, Assasin, Hunter,
Description: long straight night black hair (tied back in one ponytail), black beetle eyes, tall (especially for a Human), strong, not too muscular, cloak, basic fantasy clothing, gripping shoes, satchel for money etc., generally good-looking,

Cheerful Jak (full name unknown)
Weapons: Crossbow, Sabre, assorted knives
Class: rogue, warrior, other
Appearance: Jak's most distinguishing feature is a curved scar beginning in in the corner of his mouth which gives the apearance of a constant wry smile (aswell as his nickname 'cheerful'). Besides that he is a relatively hansome man of average hight and build, with deep blue eyes and dark brown hair that is almost black.
Usually he wear plain dark tousers tucked into knee-high boots (which conceal a pair of knives). He also wears a thick woolen shirt which hides a chainmaille vest. Over this he wears a long baggy brown leather coat which has throwing knives concealed in the sleeves, and which aids in concealing his other main weapons. His prized sabre, a single edged curved sword with brass fixtures usually hangs from his belt by his side, mostly concealed by his coat. He also carries his crossbow which is collapsable (the arc of the bow can be loosened and pivoted to make the corssbow one thin length) and can be consealed under his coat when hung on its strap from his shoulder.
History: most people call Jak a bandit, though he prefers the term outlaw. His work mostly consists or robbing nobles coaches and merchants wagons when they are out in the wilderness away from populated areas (to avoid any 'help'). Jak began this career eight years ago, before which nothing is known about him, some say he was just a stableboy, others say he was a nobleman's son, though he will never tell anyone the truth. He begun his criminal career with a group of other, he sought strength in numbers and together with a small gang of bandits he gained much wealth. This continued for a few years and Jak became skilled at what he did, soon becoming the leader of the group. All this ended when he was 25, the gang had seized control of a merchants train of wagons, carrying good loot. Most of them were emptying the silverware from one wagon when their lookout spotted a patrol of local guards coming, it was then that the group turned to panic. their horses were loaded with the loot, and with the merchants still alive to point the way the guards would surely catch them. One member of the group, Derred, decided it best to kill the merchants to aid their escape, and before Jak could spot him he had stabbed five, the others in the group realised it was to late and finished Derred's work. Jak tried to stop them, he killed guard to do what he did, but never the innocents. Derrek tried to knife him, but Jak's sabre was out before he got close. Derred dived in and got close enough to slash across Jaks face, leaving a gruesome cut in the corner of his mouth before Jak killed him. The others thought they could no longer trust him because they had sided with derred, one loosed and arrow into his shoulder and they left him for dead, loaded his horse with extra loot and escaped.
When the guards arrived they took him as the only surviving merchants guard (untill that time he had worn an eyemask to conceal his identity, aftwards his scar made this impossible). He was healed and eventually dismissed in the local village, as just snothet guard for hire and he escaped punishment out of luck.
After that Jak no longer trusted anyone as he did, he saw everyone as if they would betray them and from then on worked alone. He never used a mask after that, he flaunted his identity because he no longer cared about others, the world was a cruel place to him so he lived on the edge, constant excitement from his occupation where he knew he would die young. He became famous as cheerful Jak, others called him 'the end of the road' as any wagon meeting would not go further. There was alos another motive behind his attempts at fame. He hoped to lure in his former assosiates, to let them know he was alive, so he could get revenge. eventually he tracked them down, one by one and killed them without pity. And so Jak still robs who be can, to survive, and because he doesnt care about anything or anyone but himself.
Personality. Jak is distrusting, arrogant, secretive and brave. Becuase of his history as an outlaw, he no longer trusts anyone he meets, he would rather take their coin and run then get to know them, and he keeps secrets well, just as no one knows what he did before he became an outlaw, he wont tell them, nor anyhting else he deems important. Since he went solo in his career, he gained more skill than anyone inn his profession, because of this he is arrogant, he can rob most wagons alone and thus he is over proud in his abilities, thuis he will easily jump into a fight with five enemies if provoked, with little care for himself.
Skills: Jak is skilled at throwing and fighting with his many concealed knives, he also carries his Sabre which he maintains well and is a competent sowrdsman. His skills with any crossbow are good but he is accustomed at using his own personal one, which can be collapsed for easy storage. Jak is also a good rider, he often has to weave wagons skillfully to avoid arrows from guards, while also shooting hsi own crossbow. He is strong enough to lug away any loot he needs and his horse 'Rum' can do the same.
Siobhann Klairé (Shi-vahn Klah-ray)
Race: of an ancient race, but simliar to a Windrider
Age: nearly 7 000
Build: Lithe, athletic, heavily muscled
Notable Features: Her rare, golden eyes; a multitude of scars (years of fighting both evil and perceived good have taken their toll), chiefly on that bisects her right eyebrow and continues down her cheek in a deep groove, and another over the bridge of her nose – also a long scar running down her left arm; her muscularity marks her unusually for a woman
Religion: devout follower of Cy'dath
Abilities: Various martial arts, majoring in hand combat and bladework. She is also impervious to lightning and other dangers of the sky.
Weapons: Longbow, matching scimitars that are kept on her back, shortsword – also in a shoulder harness, hand-crossbow, and various throwing knives positioned around her body. She also keeps on her self many small implements of death, most of which are unknown and unseen.
Profession: mercenary and assassin
Personality: Quick-tmpered, despite her age. Since the fall of Cy'dath a hundred years before, she has become even more distant and hard. She cares little for the plights of others, and has the view that if they cannot survive, they are not worth a second thought.
History: Born to Ismayel and Cléodri. Both were of ancient races, extinct now save for Siobhann. Ismayel was of a race similar to the modern Windrider elves, and was a general of an army that served a kingdom long forgotten. Cléodri was a commoner, and of a race comparable to none today; generically tall, lithe, with white hair and fluid, centerless golden eyes, also possessing ears similar to elves, but more upswept. They also had sharp, hawklike features.
Ismayel was mortally wounded during a clash between countries, and his wife became desolate and died within the year, leaving a 13 year old Siobhann fending for herself. Three years later, a veteran from her father's army came across Siobhann and recognized her. He offers to complete the martial training her father had begun for her, and she takes him up on his offer, soo becoming adept with all manner of blades and many other weapons. Siobhann and this veteran, Jymsin, became close friends and traveled together for the next 50 years, until an ambush by a rogue army contingent killed Jymsin and left a mortally wounded Siobhann for dead.
In her throes between life and death, Siobhann cries out to the gods, and is answered by Cy'dath. He saves her, and she immediately swears lifelong alliegance to Cy'dath.
Cy'dath apeared many times to Siobhann, and their relationship deepened. She became devoted to him, more attatched to him that to any she had ever or ever would been attatched to (including her beloved father). Cy'dath, too, became strangely attatched to and protective of Siobhann. He eventually named her his earthly representative, bestowing upon her a portion of his powers. She accepted this gift awefilled and reverently, and never sought to flaunt or even disclose this fact to any.
For Cy'dath she killed, aided, saved, and fought any. She took on the outward appearance of a simple, if extremely skilled (for the powersof Cy'dath are no inconsequential) mercenary and assassin. She made for herself the reputation of a rogue, ruthless and unforgiving.
Then, a millenia after her parent's death, a plague swept the land, wiping out much of the population. Demons and other fell beasts followed in the wake of the plague, taking advantage of the earth's weakness. Entire races were swept away, and those of Siobhann's arents began to decline, as others, such as humans, began to grow.
Siobhann used Cy'dath's fiery powers to destroy many demons. Civil war was renting nations, and Siobhann took and switched sides as Cy'dath wished. She became known as a mercenary of no loyalty, and became notoriously known throughout the nobility of many nations.
Her bond with Cy'dath remained until the war over the Well of Stars, where she fought with astonishing powers for Cy'dath and Ki'Dasva, who also lended her powers to Siobhann. Siobhann kept her identity in the war secret, and to this day no one knows for sure who exactly she is, or what part she took in that war. When Cy'dath and Ki'dasva were crushed, the powers she received from them died also, and she roamed the land, bitterly attacking whomever she pleased. The Sentinels, who were created to protect that which she had fought to desperately to control, became her most loathed enemies. Though they also dislike Siobhann for her notorious reputation, they know not her true alliegance.
She continues to hold her facade of a simple mercenary, and awaits the return of Cy'dath.
Name: Aurelle Wythe
Alignment: Neutral Good
God: Soratha the Weaver
Race: Sky Elf, Windrider
Appearance: Petite and golden, Aurelle is considered lovely even among her own kind. Her dark blonde hair and green/gold eyes match perfectly with her tawny skin. She is petite for a windrider, standing barely over 5 feet tall. Since she is a cleric of Soratha the Weaver, Aurelle's clothes are always the green robes of her order.
Skills: Clerics who follow Soratha are not permitted to carry any weapons made from steel. The elf's only weapons are her oak staff and obesidan dagger. Her devotion to the goddess Soratha gives Aurelle great skill in healing and offensive spells in battle. Soratha is considered the Weaver of life; the patron goddess of all things female; healing, weaving, cooking, child-birth, etc. Those who follow Soratha have power over nearly all illnesses and injuries as long as the person remains alive. It is rumored that those who follow Savath the Timekeeper are given the power over life and death.
History: Born into a noble family, Aurelle is the youngest of 6 children. At an early age, she devoted herself whole heartedly to worshipping Soratha. With several children to provide futures for, her parents were pleased to send her off to the sacred grove to become a cleric. It gave the family status to have a cleric among their numbers in addition to one less child to worry about.
Both forest elves and Sky elves worship Soratha, Aurelle has had much contact with the other branch of elves. She gives her aid freely to all elves, but begrudges it to humans. She considers them beneath herself, barely better than orcs. Being born a windrider, Aurelle had the need to feel the air beneath her and soar into the sky. Rocs and gryffons were generally the domain of warriors, and would seem out of sorts for a cleric to be riding. Instead, she managed to tame a pretty golden pegasus. No pegasus could be commanded to bear rider, but freely accepts it's rider. Aurelle's pegasus, Daun, was easily coaxed to become her mount. The pair are inseperable as both adore the other.
As a cleric, Aurelle spends most of her time wandering about elven settlements offering her help. She only spends the winter months at her grove, revelling in the wonders of her goddess.
Age: Unknown, appears to be in her early 20's
Appearance: Average height, slight build, straight black hair, porcelain complexion, ordinary face, yet oddly colored mulberry-colored eyes, her one beauty. There is always a sadness to her eyes, however; an aging that does not show on her face. She most always dresses in white robes, the color of mourning, but she has a black cloak to make her less conspicuous.
Personality: Silent mostly, speaks when necessary and considers her words carefully.
History: Of the Dragon-Blessed, Raythe was, to her knowledge, the only being personally initiated by one of the Ring; specifically, Zahramael the Eldest, the Lord of Storms, Healing, and Death. She keeps her history very private, so no one knows who she was before being initiated. She took the name Raythe and severed ties with her past because she was gifted with an armband which gives the possessor access to dragon-magic. However, this is a heavy burden to bear, seeing as the “gift” she was given was death.
Before becoming one of the Blessed, she had some magic of her own, taught to her by her parents in the old tradition of her clan: illusion weaving. She was never very powerful in this gift, however, so her weaves are usually smaller scale.
It is speculated that she is a child of the Weavers, a small sect of humans chosen to serve the dragons. Although, like the dragons, existence of such a group is only legend.
The Legend: It is said that the Weavers keep the dragons hidden, through their illusory weaving. Each family passes down the tradition and teaches their children to weave illusions, a skill that can sometimes take a lifetime to master. There are four great families, one for each cardinal direction, and four minor households for the intermediate directions. The families all have a special symbol, said to be tattooed on the forehead, only to be seen by select individuals with the seeing gifts.
Alignment: Good nutral
Deities: The Great Dragons
Height: 7ft 4in
Appearance: Blue green with hints of silver hide. Gold eyes and pale green/silver underwings. Often Garbed in forest green pants and shirt with a black sleaveless over robe.
History: After studying under his master Draconis, Drellsis has moved into the world proper to train and gather battle experiance. Up till recently he has been working under his master's guide in the town milita.
Personality: Calm and colected he spares no quarter in a fight. True Anger is almost a foregn consept to him. But if any one makes him there enemy they will regret it if he lives.
Skills: Arcane Magic, faster than he looks with his sword, limited unarmed combat training.
Equipment: Longsword, Scrollcase with spell scrolls, medkit, spell components, 10 asorted knives.
Note: Still under construction History or Personality wise...
Name: Ayakier Zahndarielnes
Age: specific unknown, between fourteen and fifteen thousand years
Appearance: Ashy blue-black skin that seem lit from within, fine boned, high cheekbones, long silver-white hair, olive green eyes (when not Seeing), soft translucent grey wings similar to those of dragons with the lower edges beginning to grow ragged and uneven, difficult to se except in strong light. She appears youthful, but when she gazes at you you can feel that she has seen far more thanmost and she is seeing more than what is visible to the eye. Ayakier usually dresses in loose robes of unbleached muslin and goes veiled most of the time, although she has some fancier robes for ceremonial occasions.
History: Ayakier is one of the oldest Lodiath living, though not one of the firstborn. She is a Seer born, and was dedicated to follow Zahn the Dreamer at a young age. As she grew older, she became more powerful and gained the skill to use her magic to affect the vision of others and create illusions, as well as the more common oracular powers. Because of her sight she is very perceptive and can see things that others are trying to hide. She represents the followers of Zahn on the Council of Eld. Upon her ascension to this position, she was gifted with the power to work the winds, the Dreamer's other domain. She was one of the few who survived the near extinction of her race during the war of darkness. Ayakier has not left the desert home of the Lodiath since she aided the Weavers to hide the lost library of Thayas. She leaves now because she has Seen that without the aid of her people, a disaster far greater than that which the War of Darkness prevented may come to pass.
Personality: Ayakier is quiet and mysterious, like most of her race, who see little need for words. She is in general amiable, but seems distant from all but her own people. When backed into a corner, she has a fierce temper, though she is not a fighter by nature. She is not arrogant or cruel, but because the Lodiath are now thought of as legends, she is feared by most who see her, if they even believe their eyes.
Name: Lartazh (Lar-taj) Zersan / "Black-bird"
Race: Sky Elf, Winged Elf
Alignment: None, personal motives are always what drives him, and these can be very varied
Height: 6 ft 7
Weapons: Two swords, a length of chain, and 'Driving Force' (a scythe)
Appearance: Lartazh wears only a pair of black, travelling pants, and hardy black boots. he is bare-chested, and clearly very muscly, however at the same time very thin, giving the impression of speed and strength. There is one large scar running diagonally across the upper half of his chest, but this is the only visible scar he has, however he has more than enough tattoos. At his waist are hung two swords, both with pitch-black steel blades, and slung on his back, between his also pitch-black wings, is a large scythe-like weapon, which Lartazh calls 'Driving Force'. Also attached to his wrist with a manacle, as though ripped straight from a wall, is a length of chain tipped with a small sharp blade. Lartazh has long-black hair, and his eyes are also a dark grey. He rarely ever smiles, but when he does one specific tooth is revealed, and it is one he has filed down to a point.
Personality: Lartazh is a very serious person, whose exceptional prowess with any weapon and even bare-handed combat is nicely counter-balanced by his ineptitude with even the simplest magic spells. Lartazh is a very serious man, who seems to get the most joy out of fighting. Most other aspects of his personality are an mystery, although what is known is that, outside of battle, his next action can never be predicted, and he is very blunt and direct with everything he says. He also keeps a lot of personal things to himself, unless questioned. However, he can also be a sociable person, and will usually wish for the company of someone else, whatever he does.
History: Not much is known about Lartazh's past. He was born and as soon as he could walk he learned to wield weapons and fight, although he has never had any instruction in the use of magic, and as such he avoids ever getting into a situation that requires it. Shortly after his 126th birthday Lartazh left his homeland to journey out into the world and live his life how he wanted. During that period of time he became a relatively well-known Ranger, and because of his appearance he earned himself the nickname "Black-bird". Roughly 175 years ago Lartazh joined forces with the demons and their allies, for unknown reasons, and fought alongside them for many, many years. It was during this period that he filed one of his teeth down to a point for appearance's sake. However, about 10 years ago Lartazh decided to no longer fight with them, and was subsequently imprisoned and tortured horrendously for ten years, never allowed to die (kept on the brink of death by constant healing spells) during this time, until he finally managed to escape. Since that day, a few days ago, he has promised himself he will fight against the demons until he feels redeemed.
Hopefully that's not too long, or anything like that. Any problems, just PM me or post in the OOC thread, or something, just let me know if I need to change anything.

Elomen means quiet one in the old tongue
Ashanvahd: he who walks in the shadow (can mean darkness in some contexts) of death
Weapons: long bow, slightly curved long sword, knives
Class: warrior, demon hunter
God(s): primary affiliation Dhelian the Huntress, secondary is Ærian, Lady of the Sword.
Height: 6' 5"
Weight: 170 lbs
Race: Forest Elf
Appearance, History, and Personality:
Elomen Ashanvahd is a fairly young demon hunter. He is shrouded in mystery, a deadly solitary warrior who was exiled from the Forest Elves for some unknown crime. Before his exile, in his late twenties, he attacked a band of demons and barely escaped with his life. He also received a scar permanently sealing his left eye. Now, he has a personal vendetta against demons and any who help them. He has devoted his life to hunting down demons, uncaring of who or what he might hurt in his battle.
Elomen has black hair and bright golden skin, contrasting with incredibly bright blue eyes that somehow seem to shift from a deep sapphire blue to a light sky blue. While they are bright with secretive mirth and laughter, they are also clouded with mist and shadow, concealing his dark past. No matter what he is doing, whether it is drinking or fighting, he always seems to be laughing, although he has lost control of himself in very rare instances. During these times, he is a sight to strike fear into any heart, dead eyes bleak and empty of anything resembling laughter, seemingly glowing with rage and hatred. He is very slender, and relies more on agility, speed, and stealth more than strength to combat his enemies. He always wears gray, whether it is light gray or a dark charcoal-colored gray, often obscuring his face with a hooded cloak.
He is the quiet sort when it comes to killing, yet all the more deadly for his silence. His enemies call him Shadow-Walker for his almost supernatural ability at hiding and concealing himself, and Silent Arrow for the death he brings to all who surround him. However, he is all smiles and laughter when speaking with strangers, concealing his deadliness behind a mask of mirth. When he is his usual self, he is amiable and genial, trying to avoid useless fights with humans and elves. Yet even his friendliness contains sharp barbs of wit that most never notice, always smiling at something only he can see and hear. He also baits people for his own amusement, trying to infuriate anyone who is not an enemy. But if he even suspects that someone is dealing with demons, he or she would be dead in the next instant.
His almost hound-like amiability conceals intelligence and cunning, as well as a hound's persistence. He can be unbelievably caustic and pragmatic, and is insensitive towards others. He is not deliberately cruel, yet he does not care if what he does injures or kills other people.
While others might be given to taunt enemies in battle, Elomen does nothing of the sort, preferring to strike and kill in silence. However, he has his own peculiar honor and tends to avoid harming women and girl children, although he has no such care with boys. However, if any female tries to stop him, he will cut her down without any remorse.
His silent, efficient methods of killing have made no friends and few enemies, outside of demons. Occasionally, he will hire himself out as an assassin if he needs money.
Name: Arikha Kalohndriel (AR-ree-ka)
Weapons: Bow, sword, magic
Diety: Cy'Dath (at one point)
Alignment: It depends on what your perception of 'good' and 'evil' are.
Weight: 140 lbs
Features: Dark eyes with signature red-gold hair, (red hair runs in her line for generations back) tanned skin, and a light but muscled figure. Has an unmistakable haughty air and always seems to be wearing a small, smug smile.
Race: Forest Elf
Arikha was the headstrong daughter of the king and queen of the outlying elven nation of Avaenonn during the war of the Star Gate. While her parents fought against Cy'Dath and Ki'Dasva, Arikha plotted to usurp the throne, knowing that as the daughter of the King she would never assume it naturally. Pledging herself to Cy'Dath in exchange for the power to gain the throne, Arikha spent the last few months with her parents in the palace's libraries, studying the ways of dark magic to prepare herself for Cy'Dath's power. To her dismay however, Cy'Dath did not bestow her with the power she so eagerly awaited, but sent Casano'or (aka Siobhann) to Avaenonn to rid the princess of her troublesome parents.
However, Casano'or decimated Arikha's people and left her homeland a barren wasteland, making Arikha the supreme ruler of a now non-existant kingdom. Enraged by this seeming betrayal, Arikha took after Casano'or until Cy'Dath took note of this excursion and punished Arikha for her disobedience. Arikha spent the rest of the war leading the pitiful remains of her army into the battle against the Sentinels until the fall of Cy'Dath, whence she faded from common knowledge.
Arikha spent the next several years searching for the elusive Casano'or, then, when her search proved fruitless, returned to her decimated kingdom to begin the painstaking process of rebuilding it. During those years Arikha married and gave birth to three children, two sons and a daughter. At the first whispers of Casano'or however, Arikha abandoned her kingdom, leaving it in the hands of her husband and children.
To this day she searches for Casano'or, swearing to avenger her land and people, only returning to Avaenonn when the trail turns cold and leaving again at the first rumours of Casano'or.

Lady Irawyn Winterheart, called the Silent
Weapons: flail, barehanded, knives
Class: Guardian and personal Seer to Lady Arizia, and a powerful mage
God(s): Soratha the Weaver and Dhelian the Huntress
Height: 5’ 1”
Weight: 90 lbs
Race: the Azah
Appearance: Tiny and elegant, song-voiced Irawyn resembles every other Azah with cat-like eyes that change color but very challenging as well. She is also nicknamed “Nightkissed” for her odd hair; while most of it as black as night, a few strands are white or silver, representing moonlight and starlight. Her slender form deceives many into thinking her helpless, but Irawyn is deadly in a knife fight, as well as in barehanded combat. She is also adept with a flail.
Irawyn is considered very beautiful, but she also puts many in mind of a hunting wolf. Irawyn is very dangerous, and she lets everyone know it. Her beauty shouts out “Here I am, but this beauty is only to be seen, and never touched.” Although her eyes are always challenging, most refuse to answer that challenge.
Irawyn favors grey clothing, whether light or dark. She also enjoys going about hooded and cloaked, the better to spy and listen to what the common people think.
History: Irawyn is the daughter of Naralyn, who was the daughter of Lady Saryn, who was the first ruler of the Azah. Naralyn died in childbed birthing her only child, and Saryn took Irawyn in. Saryn was admittedly biased towards Casano’or, who had destroyed her home and family. Irawyn hates demons with a passion, as well as Casano’or, but unlike Saryn, her emotion is also balanced with cool logic. She regards Casano’or as a rabid dog who needs to be put down, but does not hate her with the single-minded intensity Saryn does.
Irawyn manifested the “elf magic” at the early of thirteen. After half a century of training, Irawyn’s extraordinary gifts had expanded in potential until she was among the most powerful of the Guardians and a fully accomplished Changer. The Guardians also hold that magic is useless if an Azah cannot protect him/herself without resorting to arcane arts, and Irawyn was also trained in the flail, barehanded combat, and knives. She proved to be as agile in learning weaponscraft as she had been in magecraft.
Personality: Irawyn is called both “Winterheart” and the “Silent” for very good reasons. Although the other Guardians had given her the name Winterheart in mockery, Irawyn adopted it in pride. Irawyn is very calm, collected, and logical, but like winter, also has a cold rage that freezes anyone who comes near her. She also has not made very many friends among the Guardians with her arrogant, mocking manner. She does not speak often, except to make a point, and even then, her manner remains pithy.
Irawyn is cool and competent in the face of danger. She is not easily angered or annoyed, but when she is, her wrath is fearsome to behold. Indeed, she thrives on challenge and relishes new opponents as a chance to test her skills. Both smart and wise (two different qualities), Irawyn is a deadly warrior and mage who most would fear to challenge. But Irawyn also desires to personally cross swords with one of the demon captains some day… a quest that may lead to her death.
Name : Raiden Arcamenel
Race : Setinel
Age : 24
Weapon : Longsword and dagger
Abilities : Is exceptional in swordfighting abilities. Is also gifted with uncanny speed and defense, and is strategic-minded, which makes a pretty good combination for theivery
Alignment : Neutral
Class : Thief
Height : 5'7
Appearance : Raven-haired, bottle-green eyes, caramel-skinned. Raiden is naturally a very nimble person and hide herself very cleverly from unsuspecting eyes when she wants to, but when spotted, she sports a brown leather shirt and pickle-green tights. Her longsword is hung from her waist, while the dagger is hidden elsewhere...normally in her boot, but no one in the story is to know that.
Character : Raiden is not an emotional person, so she does not tend to sympathise with people easily. However, when her sympathy is aroused, she immediately devotes her attention to the cause, making her a very committed and dedicated person. More and more of her character is shown as the story progresses.
History : Raiden belongs to a family of simple thieves who steal what they can to live and not bother about anything else. Raiden, however, is more intelligent and curious to find out about the world, but was forbidden to do so by her parents. Raiden was to tend to the household chores and occasionally steal things when her brothers were ill. When all of Raiden's family members died in a mysterious fire (did Raiden cause it? that remains a mystery until later), Raiden fled to another city and decided to learn swordfighting from an old and retired warrior (Setinel!!!) there. He taught her, along with sword tricks, who Cy'dath and Casano'or were, and the current calamity that the world is facing. When he felt that Raiden was strong enough, he let her spread her wings and set off, with his full blessings. Raiden is now searching for one of the warriors involved in this matter, so that she can team up with them.
Faine Riahanna Anísedran Tar’kyaman (fa-EEN ree-ah-HAN-na ah-nee-SEE-dran tar-KEE-ah-mahn)
Age: over 7,000
Weapons: knives, barehanded, and two short swords
Magic: a powerful mage, mostly known for spellweaving, druidic, and Maradi magic
Profession: First Priestess of Ki’dasva; spellweaver
Alignment: Formerly evil, currently chaotic neutral, although her strongest loyalty is to Ki’dasva
Race: Mother’s race Maradi, father’s race unknown
Like her sister, Riahanna has two given names: Faine and Riahanna, although only she and Casano'or know of the the former. Faine means "peace/serenity" while Riahanna is a name meaning “Summer” in the old tongue of Liandrah.
Riahanna was later given the names Anísedran and Tar’kyaman, the former meaning “mind’s blade” and the latter “dark hunter.” Also known as the Spellweaver and the Dark Huntress in histories and legends for being the deadly antagonist of the goddesses Soratha the Weaver and Dhelian the Huntress, Riahanna lives up to her reputation as Ki’dasva’s chief priestess and most feared follower.
Riahanna was born to Cléodri, a Maradi woman. Although most do not know her father, it is widely speculated that he was a Kortiri. However, other legends hold that Riahanna’s father had even more obscure origins, claiming that he is the son of Ki’dasva and Dalin. Needless to say, Riahanna has not made any public confessions, although she herself knows who her father is.
Riahanna is the older half-sister of Casano’or, sharing the same mother. But while Casano’or has a strong hatred of the later races, Riahanna does not, and this eventually led to a quarrel between the two. Casano’or continued to follow Cy’dath, while Riahanna served Ki’dasva as her First Priestess.
Casano’or devoted herself to the martial arts, but Riahanna learned only enough to defend herself, preferring magic over blades. She became one of the most adept mages in Liandrah, choosing the delicate and subtle arts of spellweaving and druidism (this lent credence to the Dalin myth). But she tried to dissuade her sister from practicing any of the Works of the Ancients, sensing their awful cost, which only widened the rift between the two sisters. It was around this time that Casano’or began to believe that her older sister was jealous of her greater power.
As the mother of Saryn of the Azah, mother and daughter have opposed each other for millennia, but have refrained from entering battles mortal to each other, preferring to use elaborate schemes.
During the first Chaos War, Riahanna, unlike her sister, chose not to fight with armies. Instead, she founded an order of Priestesses devoted to Ki’dasva, the Children of the Night, to counter the Sentinels. She also made use of her spellweaving talents and wove spells that wreaked havoc upon her enemies. Although she was not as powerful as her sister, she more than made up for it in cunning and subtlety that undermined the Sentinels’ support. She often invoked her Maradi shape-shifting talents, an ability she honed to perfection, to impersonate others. Although most Maradi claim that it is impossible to take the exact form of another person, Riahanna discovered that it is possible, although difficult, to do so, requiring a great attention to detail and darker forms of power. Considered by most to be a second Casano’or, Riahanna was rightly feared by all forces of the light.
After Ki’dasva’s defeat, Riahanna fled into hiding, believed to be dead. Few know her name today. Only Sentinels, historians, and some royalty know of her, as she was not as infamous as Casano’or. She was not a conspicuous commander during the Chaos War; today, not even Elves know of the devastating damage she wrought.
She took up other names and disguises (see “Other Aliases” below), and in one of her myriad schemes, almost succeeded in wiping out the Sentinels. Only the timely intervention of the then-current Star Singer, Undrai, saved the Sentinels from utter destruction.
Riahanna has worn almost a dozen major personas, and faked her own death by changing the appearance of another human or Elf to resemble her. (Again, see "Other Aliases" below.)
Like her sister, Riahanna has amber eyes in her natural form. But as an adept shape-shifter, Riahanna can alter her appearance at will, and thus wears many disguises, rarely looking like as her true self. She favors the likeness of a young, impetuous woman with blue-black hair and glinting silver-blue eyes. (If you've ever seen my Night Elf theme, that's what she looks like. Minus the purple skin, of course… But the tattoo and jewelry are the same.)
Her mocking manner has gotten her in trouble more than once, but her quick wits always save her. Quick-tempered like her sister, she nonetheless maintains discipline and control over herself at all times. Patience is one of her stronger points, especially when she is ‘hunting.’ Yet the most notable aspect of her personality is that Riahanna is an actor to the core. Casano’or cannot disguise her deadliness, and a certain aura of menace always hangs about her. Riahanna can flicker (and has, before) from being an amiable, laughing young woman to a sorrowful queen to an avenging warrior come down from the heavens in the space of moments. It is foolish to trust her expression or words, as she is as adept a liar as she is a mage.
Although Riahanna’s aliases “lived” only a few decades at most, they are known as the most dangerous adversaries in the Sentinels’ history. Very few people knew their names now, and most of those few belonged to the Sentinels. The Sentinels try to repress knowledge of them, fearing their weaknesses to be known to the public.
The following list consists of some of the personas Riahanna assumed over the years.
Vadra: Star Dancer to Gorawn, the first Star Singer after the Chaos War. Vadra is known as the ‘Trai tor Sentinel’ in historical texts, as she betrayed the Sentinels to some of Cy’dath’s secret followers seven years after the Chaos War. She was “killed” by Gorawn.
Adrenn: Seven hundred years after the Chaos War, the people of Liandrah made a second Alliance of the Stars in an attempt to eradicate the remnants of the Children of the Night. Openly an enemy of the Sentinels and a High Priestess of Ki’dasva’s order, she defeated the Alliance, although she “died” two years later from injuries.
Nehiar: Three thousand years after the Chaos War, Nehiar was responsible for assassinating six Star Singers over the space of ten years. She managed to murder almost a hundred Sentinels during those ten years, disguising them as accidents, until Star Dancer Polara tracked her down and “executed” her.
Riona: Riona almost nearly succeeded three thousand years ago in wiping out the Sentinels. Riona raised an army of demons, and with the aid of the Children of the Night, brought down eight hundred Sentinels to fifty. Star Singer Undrai stopped her barely in time, but died in the attempt.
Riahanna II: Believed by most to be a madwoman, Riahanna II was born with the name Anusi two thousand years ago. “Riahanna II” claimed to be the first Riahanna reborn in a new body. Riahanna II roused enough malcontents to seriously damage the Elven lands, but the Sentinels put an end to her rebellion about a year after her appearance. However, whether by accident or design (although Riahanna II burned many crops and is said to have had many mages working for her), a twenty-year period of famine and pestilence followed her uprising.
Nairi Casano’or (NEYE-ree CAY-sannuh-ore), the Avenger of the Ancients, the Avatar of Cy’dath
Age: somewhere over 7,000 years
Weapons: 3-inch talons that cut through steel; elemental power; Cy’dath’s power; the Kortiri power over the air
Magic: as stated above (elemental), and prefers the magic of the Ancients to that of the elves, etc.
Profession: Cy’dath’s avatar and consort
Alignment: evil (but not in her eyes)
Race: Half Kortiri, half Maradi
Casano’or is the name her father gave her, meaning “Winter’s Song”, for she was born in the dark of the night in the worst winter the Kortiri had ever seen. Some connect her icy personality as the origin of her name. Her mother gave her another name, yet it was seldom used, and none save Casano’or and her half-sister Riahanna know it: Nairi, meaning “Hope”.
As a small child, Casano’or was fiery, willful, and loving. Her father and mother were her sun and moon. Her sister, the eldest of the two by fifteen years, left home early and began a life as a mage among the Maradi when Casano’or was five. The sisters were opposites in every way – even their names were opposites, meaning “Summer” and “Winter”. Riahanna was eager from an early age to leave home and make something of herself, whereas Casano’or’s dream was to follow in her father’s footsteps as Clan Leader of the People of the Moon.
Then, when Casano’or was only seven years of age, the Plagues struck. Her mother, Cléodri of the Maradi, was among the first to perish of the sickness. Casano’or kept with her always a buckskin dress her mother had favoured, and steadfastly refused to relinquish it. After two years, when the remaining Ancients were but a shadow of the number they once were, it became clear that this was no natural plague. It was the first of a series of attacks from the young races of the south, the Humans and Elves.
Casano’or’s father rallied the remnants of the Kortiri and marched further north. The next attack came as the Kortiri were on the march. A cavalry of thousands of Humans accompanied by a smaller host of Elves attacked their traveling caravan, wiping out over half of the Kortiri in the first rush. The column scattered, fleeing these mounted warriors whose huge horses crushed all, and Casano’or and her father hid for a long six months, mounting small raids and strikes as isolated Humans and Elves.
But the Young Races were too many, and the Kortiri were wiped out almost to a man. Her mother’s race, the Maradi, used their shapeshifting gifts to hide, and some survived. Riahanna hid with them rather than fight the invaders with the Kortiri, which was something Casano’or could never forgive her for. In the dark of the night, Casano’or’s camp was attacked, the sentries being wiped out before they could utter warning. Casano’or and her father were the last, her father protecting her to the end. He fought hard and long, holding out far longer than he should have considering the wounds he took, but finally an Elven spear took him through the chest and pinned him to the ground. Casano’or screamed and picked up her father’s scimitar, though barely able to lift it. An arrow took her through the shoulder, yet she ran at her attacker, slashing at his legs and cutting deep.
And then Cy’dath appeared. His appearance scattered the Elves, and her took Casano’or in and nurtured her back to health. Over the years, he trained her in all the lore of magic and weaponry, and she eventually became his avatar, using Cy’dath’s power to do his bidding throughout Liandrah. Their relationship deepened, much to the resentment of Ki’dasva, and a rivalry between Ki’dasva and Casano’or began that would last until the end of ages. Thus when Riahanna entered the service of Ki’dasva, Casano’or’s hatred of her half-sister grew.
Rho’stri came to Casano’or and Cy’dath thousands of years ago, befriending them and traveling with them.
Casano’or’s deeds during the Chaos Wars are known to many. She wiped out entire kingdoms, using her hatred as fuel for her actions. The events of the three years during the Invasion remain crystal clear in her mind, and the atrocities committed against her race and family will never be forgiven.
Being half Maradi, Casano’or can shapeshift, though generally prefers to use her natural form. In her natural form, she is moderately tall, though not quite so tall as her sister, has white hair, golden eyes, and many tribal tattoos, most of which are blue and black (her tribe was the People of the Moon, hence the colouring). She is fit and muscular.
Though free-spirited and caring as a child, her experiences hardened her personality to one cold and hard, mournful and vengeful. Only Cy’dath and Rho’stri receive and love and compassionate feelings from Casano’or.
After the Chaos Wars, Casano’or was desolate from the loss of Cy’dath. She took on many appearances and personas in the following centuries, most of which were assassins and mercenaries.
But now Cy’dath has returned, and the God of Untamed Fire and his Consort and Avatar walk Liandrah once more.
