Not how I would have thought it, but I don't see why it so awful. Not every Elf can be attractive.

May well be true, but for the high-king of the Noldor and the most high(in rank that is) elf from the movies they should have picked a more elflike person.

Hhm... Gil-Galad? They should have made him a better elf. *nods head hard and slowly*

I didn't like their Eowyn. But I may be a bit bias seeing as that she is my favorite character and she in my opinion was meant to be younger, prettier, not a boxy face and just more EOwyn-like. I didn't think that Miranda Otto did a good job acting as Eowyn either.

Finally someone who backs me up * love ya Eowyn*

And about miranda Otto as Eowyn...well....not my #1 choice either.
The movie is just PJ's interpretation of the book, a nice interpretation actually but just not how I pictured it all
but fair is fair, good old Pete did a tremendous job, put everything he had into the movies and it really shows.

Yeah I know but you can't help wanting it to be your interpretation and perfect at that.

I understand perfectly well, that's why I posted about Gil-galad
beiing probably the ugliest elf I've seen so far. I was also sorely disillusionated with Elrond, but don't get me started about him....

I actually agree with you about Elrond. Never liked Hugo Weaving as him. It's not that he does a bad job or anything, it's just that he doesn't get the character off the way I thought Elrond should be, you know? I don't really know what I'm trying to say, but I definitely would have picked someone different.

I get your meaning, Hugo doesn't act bad but as for us, he wasn't what we had in mind about Elrond.

John noble sucks as Denethor, Denethor was described as a Tall kingly man with a carven face and a long curved nose and Ivory skin. John Noble is short fat and has a lumpy face not carven and he has a whats the word......somewhat bulbous nose . Although every body else was good except aragorn he was'nt big enough, aragorn was like 6'6". although I like viggo.

Anybody else playing Aragorn would simply not have been right.

    About John Noble...
I'll have to wait and see ROTK before I decide for sure, but from the pictures, he doesn't seem how I pictured him when reading the book.
