Funny how people see 8 as the worst game...yet it wins nearly every FF poll >_<

When it comes to cinematics, I'd have to say FF8 or FF10. In terms of story, I think IV takes the cake.

    Story or gameplay I'd say 2, 3, or 7.

8 had the best intro, but was the crappiest game.

7 had the coolest cut scenes overall... just not at the beginning.

I actually really like the intro to 3. It isn't graphically amazing like the newer ones, but the music (one of the best FF songs ever), the two soldiers trudging through the snow, the antique feel, I like it a lot.

lol the title says intro...you don't ahve to take into account story and everything else.

CB: by 3...do you mean FF3 (japanese....i.e. normal 3) or American 3 which is actually FF6?

Im gonna go for FF8, like many people have said though it is IMO easily one of the worst ones gameplay wise.

Just the fact that you have to draw the damn magic, this gets so tedious after awhile compared to other Final Fantasy's, to my mind it just made it not as good as the others.

The gunblade trigger idea was good though, it was something new, also the way that the limit breaks where handled wasn't as good as other FF's in my mind. Just leave them in yellow and they can repeatedly do their limit break...

Leave them in yellow they also have a good chance of dying :S

I thought that drawing magic was quite different. A hell of a lot quicker than waiting for materia to level up to use better magic.

I think he's referring to VI..... the beginning of six had the two soldiers (Biggs and Wedge) in their mechs with Terra marching in the snow. But the music from that scene is my personal favourite from the Final Fantasy library.

i loved final fantasy 8 best. the game, the story, and the animations. it's by far the best one of the series, if you ask me. but i guess you don't.

I know this is off subject but I know that this debate is going to continue for quite some time. Later.
