Yeah, even if the movie gets terrible reviews, they've already got my money.

Saw it today, it's solid but not the best superhero movie you'll have seen when you walk out. It's definitely flawed but not irredeemably so and Affleck is now my favorite live action Batman.

I liked it a lot. It's not what I had expected, but I still enjoyed it. Some bits were a bit confusing as I'm not well-read in DC comics (or any comic books at all), but I luckily had someone with me who could explain the confusing bits (like that one scene in the Batcave where I couldn't understand what a certain character said and who he was supposed to be).
I also liked Ben Affleck as Batman, much better than expected! Also, Wonder Woman FTW. :D

Disappointment once again, just like Man of Steel.

Batfleck was cool, but the Martha memes will be running strong for years to come.

Ugh. Bring on Captain America Civil War

I expected so much more from this movie!
The movie has everything in it; action, plot, depth, and GREAT cast! But in the end it is only OK. Something between Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck doesn't feel right to me.
I was mildly interested to see Gal Gadot carry a heavy role, and in the end she was probably between the best parts in the movie. If the movie will have a sequel it is manly because of her. The new Wonder Woman movie moved high in the list of movies i will see! (She did a good job!)
I hope that the three of them will keep doing superheroes movies, but not together.

2.5 hours that actually felt like 2.5 hours. o_O

In the Winter Soldier Cap literally unbrainwashes Bucky by saying a single significant line from their super distant past but everyone wants to pretend that makes more sense than Bats stopping because Superman said the name of one of the people who caused him to become Batman. Little silly you ask me.

I just saw this this morning. It's SO bad. I like almost any movie you put in front of me, so I can't say it's unwatchable, but I also can't think of too many things I found redeemable about the story or dialogue. And don't get me started on what they did to batman.

The film is not good, but I think the more you watch it, in a way the more it makes sense. I watched the extended version recently and it fills in a couple of plot holes. They definitely could have done a lot better though. I know everyone keeps beefing on superman in it but I didn't mind him. It was actually Batman that I thought was the bad one. As someone who grew up seeing the Animated series and reading the comics, he just seems so far from the Batman ideal.

To me, it just seems like a haphazard amalgam of The Dark Knight Returns and The Death of Superman. There is a reason why attempting to combine those two is a legitimately awful idea. Also, I agree with @I.R. Shogun. The fact that so many people believe that Marvel is selling anything but a watered-down, puerile version of the comics in the form of the MCU is unbelievable to me.

It being one of the few superhero movies that I chose not to watch, there's not much I can tell about the movie itsself.
The issue here was the trailer, I didn't really get the point. Batman vs Superman seems rather "off" to me. Who invented this? *frowns*

I might watch it though, my curiosity makes up for it all:rolleyes:

Yeah, I think it is one of those comic things, like Thor vs Hulk. The fans like the fight for some reason, so you give it to them. More than once.

I myself have a big problem with fanservice. Surely you'll give them what they want, but it often results in bad films imo. The Force Awakens being a good example.

I didn't care enough to watch The Force Awakens. I have heard George Lucas had stepped aside and wanted no part of it, that should be red flag enough.

Fanservice can be really destructive. The 100th episode ot My Little Pony comes to mind. They crammed in all the fanservice they could to celebrate the 100th, and in fact it looks like the fans and the members of the fanfiction crowd loved it. I think it was a total mess.

Disney refused his ideas, as he did want to work on the new trilogy. He had a story ready for it, though he still had to broaden it. He said he had a problem with this retro feel of the new film, as he wanted to create something new, so he stepped aside. If you look at what Disney is doing there's certainly an anti-prequel mentality. So they stick mostly with the Original Trilogy to please "fans".

I think that fanservice is .certainly present in the modern MCU. When I think of older Superhero movies, like the first two Superman movies, the first two Batman movies, the first two Spider-Man movies and Nolan's trilogy. They were actually good and entertaining imo and weren't made just to please fans, neither were its sequels even if they didn't turn out as good.
