Right. I'm hoping that me and the other Aussies on this forum can help to clear up some misconceptions people still have about our country. Some questions foreginers have asked about Australia include:

    - do you have electricity?
    - do you have running water?
    - can I walk from the east to west coast?
    - how many kangaroos do you own?

    Ansers:
    - yes
    - yes
    - yes, if you want to die, AND
    - zero

You get the idea. So, just to kick off, here are a couple of pics someone emailed me last week.

Oh yeah, and nobody drinks Fosters in Australia. We sell that sh*t to foreigners :)

So Aussies, share the silliest thigns a foreigner has ever asked you, and non-Aussies, let's hear those questions you've always wondered, but never had an Aussie to answer for you :)

By the way, please don't any Americans take offence at whoever made those pictures and put the "uneducated American" thing at the bottom. It's just that a lot of questions do come from Americans.

I had one say to me while on holiday here, "Yeah, I actually did think you all had kangaroos in your backyards." *sigh*

Ya'know, I've often thought that myself. As long as he's amused I'm happy. I personnally think Nicole Kidman is a better representative for us Aussies.

Nah give Dame Edna over either of the other teo any day.

Crikey that crocs got me by the leg....

And we finally witness the end all stupidity in the world.
Amazing fact No.1. If Steve Erwin was to die the entire worlds I.Q. would jump 50 points. An 70 for his wife!!!!

Ive actually been asked if we put saddles on kangaroos and ride them to work. Not kidding.

Steve Irwin is not a good example of Australians!! We dont walk around screaming "CRIKEY!!!".... even though it sounds funny, lol

He's an alright bloke but misrepresents Australians in the hugest ever possible way. It's fine to have a laugh at his expense, but as an Australian, I am fed up with being thought of as 'like' Steve Irwin.

It's like Aussies thinking all American's are as dumb as Jessica Simpson if you know what I mean. (sorry Jess, but you ARE pretty dumb)

Aaarrrggghhhh!!!!!!!!! Steve Irwin has set this country back about 30 years in the eyes of the world. I wish he would shut up. I can't believe he got a crap movie made. I know dozens of struggling or aspiring writers (myself among them) who have enormous talent ... Seeing boring archetypes like Steve get the credit and the money drives me nuts.

No, but 'bugger' is used frequently.
