    Brief history
Descended from the noble Houses of Fingolfin and Fëanor, Astaldoréiel Vanima was born to the unconventional union of Gildor Eldarindyo and Celestel in the royal halls of Lindon. Elerrína, or Star-Crowned, was the title granted to the young Elf by her paternal grandfather Gil-galad, for the star of Eärendil was at its brightest during the hour of her birth.

Alas, the mounting threat of war had reared its ugly head. The Last Alliance of Elves and Men, spearheaded by Gil-galad and Elendil the Tall, were hard-pressed to repel the forces of Sauron. Fearing for the safety of his family, Gildor urged Celestel to seek refuge in Rivendell with their daughter, lest Lindon be invaded by the enemy. Celestel took up on her husband’s proposition after much deliberation, but the ominous foreboding on the day of their respective departures soon came to attest itself tangible.

Gildor perished alongside his father in the Battle of Dagorlad.

Overwhelmed by grief and sorrow, Celestel lost her will to live and wasted away of depression a year after Gildor’s ill-fated demise. Commiserating with the couple’s orphaned children, Elrond became a foster father to his young cousin, nurturing and caring for her as if she were his own.

In time, Astaldoréiel grew to become a well-regarded member of Elrond’s household; an aberrantly feisty Guardian of the Valley, with an insatiable thirst for adventure.
